We had a very pleasant stay. Staff were very nice. Side away from freeway was very quiet and had a gorgeous view. Breakfast was good but they could use a lowfat yogurt instead of the yucky nonfat, and it would be good if they had gluten-free bread
for toast. Also I am accustomed to having a mini-frig, and our 3rd floor room did not have one.
This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. I've always found the staff to be friendly and the rooms clean. Breakfast is similar to what you would find at other hotels. The location may seem distant from downtown, but it is a short, maybe 5 minute drive.
I would stay here again.
Very positive. The breakfast is very fresh and a full meal wirh eggs, meat, waffles, hot and cold cereal, fruit and beverages. The bedding is very comfy. Some of the towels were a little thin. The staff was helpful. There seemed to be a large
staff cleaning and making sure everything was in order.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Valley Cafe---nice sandwiches and entrees. In Yakama--the Cafe Melange for dinner.
This is a great place to stay for Gorge concert goers as it's right off of I-90 and a short 45 minute drive to the Gorge Amphitheater. The room was clean and well stocked with plenty of towels, and extras such as a refrigerator, microwave oven and
coffee making and coffee. All in all, I was very happy with The Hampton and would stay there again the next time I'm heading to the Gorge.
