The Fairhaven Village Inn is a unique and comfortable 22 room inn that blends the charm and personality of yesterday with the modern comforts of today. Our central location in the Historic Fairhaven District on Bellingham Bay allows for convenient and exciting choices in the village, on the water, or in the mountains. Explore Fairhaven with its charming cobblestone streets, vibrant retail and culinary options, and an active but mellow nightlife. One can easily walk the few square blocks of the district and find everything you would need such as restaurants, boutique shops, 24-hour grocery, pharmacy, bayside parks and tails, bookstores, art galleries, live music, bike and kayak rentals, etc. The Village Green Park, much like a town square, is just across the street. Additionally, the Interurban Trail begins just steps from our front door and winds through many acres of wilderness and along the waterfront. Perfect for a leisurely walk, run, or bike ride in any season. All this is less than a mile from Western Washington University, WWU, and the famed Chuckanut Scenic Drive. What sets apart the Fairhaven Village Inn, though, is our attention to service and to the comfort of our guests. There are custom made luxury mattresses and box springs in every room, with new linens to match. All rooms are quite spacious, and those facing the Bay have a fireplace and a small balcony with sliding glass doors. There are freshly made waffles at breakfast, and tea and coffee are available all day in our book lined, oak library, with warm homemade cookies showing up around check in. Feel free to take a book up to your room or to have a glass of wine by the library fireplace in a cozy chair. The games and toys are a big hit with families too. Whether on business or pleasure, at the Fairhaven Village Inn you will discover what locals and travelers alike know and love about Bellingham.

Great little town with great shops

Large room and confortable. Location is great, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Also next to Amtrak station. The only problem was the bedding. Goose down duvet was pretty heavy and too warm. Continential breakfast was a little slim on food offered, so we skipped it and had breakfast down the street.

Historic Fairhaven's Finest Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel three times in the past several years. The high level of comfort, superior level of guest service and the inn's ideal location makes this the perfect place to stay! The guest rooms overlook the bay, and have a small balcony and fireplace; or, a view of the village green. Once you park your car, there is little need to get into your car to go anywhere else. This is a fine hotel and has only 22 rooms and one suite which has a large whirlpool tub and fireplace (think romantic)! The historic Fairhaven district offers a great collection of restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques! Not to mention it is just a couple of blocks from the Amtrak and transportation center so it is possible to take Amtrak's Cascadian train between Vancouver, BC or south from Seattle and not have to have a car at all. The Fairhaven district overlooks Bellingham Bay and is a couple miles south of the downtown district. Best of all this quiet destination is far from the maddening mall and Interstate traffic. You can even catch the Alaska Ferry and head north to America's last frontier.
