The room was your average budget room, not much to speak of.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Cheap, no padding.
Most of all the place was NOISY! Cheap construction, close to the highway, guest upstairs pacing all over the room until 2:30
AM. Guests arriving back their rooms late, running around the place and screaming. People next door up at 6 AM smoking outside their room and making nosie.
When booking I asked for non smoking and on arrival found that it was a smoking room and no other rooms avail then. They said "Had I checked with them they would have worked with me" but it was a 3rd party res. Made it sound like they had no
obligation to honor booking requests from you.
We did not use room the second night - drove 8 hours home
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
N on Guide Meridian is a steak grill. Same parking lot with Costco. GREAT FOOD!
we walk in drop are wife goes into bathroom without using it because there is urine all over and hair we asked for another room and there was none the atendent had to come ask us to get of the room (policy) and cleen our bathromm. second was when
leaving my light were left on ,not on purpose so i went the front desk to ask for and was turned away with a frown and a your on your own feeling so that was my three day weeking @econologeded in billingham,WA
We arrived having booked and paid ahead. Having used PayPal bank account to pay, we did not have a corresponding credit card to show at check-in. The clerk informed us of addition fees and possible additional room charges which needed the credit
card. After close to an hour of time wasted, we choose not to stay at all. This Econo Lodge policy was No Refund even though the room was never used, and reservation date change only for use at this location.
We will never again stay at Econo Lodge or other Choice Hotels chain locations.
We weren't looking for anything special. Just an inexpensive place near the airport to stay the night. If that's what you're looking for, than this is the spot. Overall its a 2 star (maybe 3 on a good day) hotel. And that's what you're going to
get. The staff was nice and efficient.
Hotel was dirty, uncomfortable and from what I heard from the locals one of the old "drug" hotels. I picked this hotel because of the price and reviews I read on it. If I could do it again I would have spent the extra money and stayed some where
nice. I will not go back to that hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
