We spent two nights there while visiting a grandson at WWU. Our stay there was warm, dry and the bed was reasonable comfortable. The room wasn't nearly as cleen as we are used to and the common areas were very dirty (walls & carpet). The staff was helpful and they provide a light breakfast but that are was unkept as well. There were a couple of other options in the area (close to WWU)for the same price and I will try another one next time we visit.

Economical

You get what you pay for. My non-smoking room smelled... well, very smokey. The entire hotel smelled like smoke: especially the hallways. If they would just spray some air freshener in the corridors it would help a great deal. Other than that, this seemed like a good value. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and they have free wireless and HBO. Very short walking distance to Wendy's, Arby's, Quizno's, Chinese, McDonald's, Subway, Pizza Hut and convenience stores. As a guy traveling by myself, I didn't mind it. If my wife were with me... she may have thought very differently. I wouldn't recommend taking your lady/kids here.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Henderson Books downtown is the most stunning, amazing, spectacular (insert whatever epic words you can here) independent bookstore I've ever been to. So cool. Also, if you're visiting for the first time like I was, check out the American Museum of Radio and Electricity. It's only $5 and it is a really interesting place!

Great location, not so great hotel

Great location to WWU, but needs updating and a serious scrubbing. Beds not comfortable and very small room. Curtains would not close all the way. Other than the location, I was not too happy with this hotel.

Friendly, clean and comfortable

Although this was a single, overnight stopover, it was the last of a week-long road trip--and very definitely the most obliging welcome, from smiling and cheerful staff.

Very noisy on Saturday evening. Cars coming and going until 4:00AM Sunday morning. Floors creak and can hear shower and tolets like they were in your room. Continental breakfast is poor. No variety. Have stayed a block a way at another hotel so will probably not come back to this one.

This hotel needs maintenance!

This hotel really needs maintenance. For the price we paid, it was extremely run down. Public areas were dirty, unpainted. The fence next to the parking lot was falling down & unpainted. The halls smelled. The breakfast was the cheapest we have seen anywhere. Definitely will not stay here again.
