Easy stay
Convenient location, good value, friendly staff. I like having a small kitchen, both for the extra space and more importantly so I can bypass eating at restaurants and eat more healthfully. There was a Whole Foods about 1/3 of a mile away and that made my stay that much easier.

Great hotel

a decent stay for the money
The room was clean but smelled like ramen noodles. There was no hot water in the bathroom and not enough pillows on the bed. The bed was decent. The tv was very small. The night staff was super friendly but the day staff was just adequate. It was a decently spacious. Overall a very clean hotel and a great price for the quality. And a super safe neighborhood and convenient to all of Seattle. I would stay there again.

Sassy geek
ESA - Not just for long stays
I was visiting my son, who is a grad student at University of Washington. The ESA is convenient to downtown and university district of Seattle, so it was easy to spend all day visiting and touring, and just go back to the hotel for the night. We did use the kitchen a couple times, and the rooms were bigger than the average motel room. Quiet, comfortable, and convenient for way less than a stay in downtown.

The Chrittendon locks along the ship canal. Run by the Army Corps of Engineering, good tour, and surrounded by a botanical garden.

My wife was having surgery at a hospital located 50 miles from our home. The follow-up visit was scheduled for the next day so driving home after the day surgery just didn't make sense. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we were well cared for. Many thanks for their help and thoughtfulness.
