Quiet, clean and comfortable.
The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and at a reasonable price. I really liked the room overlooking the river, with it's industrial charm - not something everyone would like, but still very pretty. I felt safe in this hotel. Aberdeen didn't hold any allure for me, so that's the only drawback, but that isn't the hotel's fault. Restaurant options are limited to fast food, it seems. The hotel breakfast was good, and good coffee, too.

Highly recommended stay in Aberdeen/Hoquiam
We decided to stay here since all the reasonably priced hotels in Ocean shores were full, and many of them require a 2 night minimum stay. This hotel is about 35 minutes from Ocean shores. Let's be honest, the Aberdeen/Hoquiam area can be sketchy to say the least. This hotel is located in newer retail area of town, where it is well lit and away from the downtown bars and alleys. There are cheaper hotels in town, however they are run down, and in my book it was way worth the extra 50 bucks to stay in an area where we felt safe. The online booking was quick and easy, and I liked that we could use our AAA card for a 10% discount. The staff was fairly friendly, however I have been greeted better in other hotels. The rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. Nice flat screen tv. Clean bathroom and shower. The pool was smaller, but you're looking for entertainment for the kids, they will love it. I didn't get down to the continental breakfast until 9:30am, and there was hardly anything left and the it was a total mess. Early bird gets the clean counters and first dibbs on the waffles lol. There was coffee though, and a coffee maker in the room as well (3 cup). Thank you for a good night sleep and a pleasant stay.

Unhappy Customer, wish I wouldn't have stayed
Upon check in I told the gal behind the counter that I would like to go ahead and bill the room to the credit card that was used to book the trip, as my parents had agreed to pay for the room so that my husband and I could get away for a weekend. I was told that they are not allowed to do that and that I needed to give her a new card to initially pay for the room. I do not carry credit cards with me, so I quickly pulled out my cash to pay for the room, and was told that they would need a $200 cash deposit, if I wanted to pay cash for the price of the room. As if this didn't make me mad and frustrated enough I then over heard the conversation that she was also "helping" and he was not eligable for any discounts, so his room was going to cost $99.25 for two queen beds, which turnes out he paid the same amount for his room that I paid for my room when I was supposed to be getting a 10% discount with my AAA membership. I am not sure what has happened to this hotel from the last time I stayed there (about a year ago) becuase the staff is rude, and their policies about needing a credit card when there is one on file, or paying $200 cash deposit was never required before.

Nothing better in town.
It's a decent place. Best place in Aberdeen, but that's not saying much. I've stayed here multiple times, with kids, also. They love the pool. The train and road can be noisy.

okay stay
The internet said its close to Ocean Shores, when we got there we found out its another 45 min drive. Beds were old and had a dip in the middle. Room was not cozy and decore outdated. The price is too high for the quality of the hotel.

on the way to better places
Not bad for a stop off on the way to the beach. Kid friendly with indoor pool and there are some places you can walk to. Clean, comfortable, gets the job (of sleeping) done.

Friendly, comfortable stay
The GuestHouse Aberdeen was a pleasant surprise! We did not expect to find such a nice accommodation in the small community of Aberdeen,WA. The indoor pool was clean and a great place for the kids. I especially liked the later evening hours for adult only swimming! The room was spacious and well equipped for traveling families. I would definitely recommend this facility!

Happy Visit
We were arriving late and the receptionist was very pleasant when assuring us our room would still be available once we arrived. Our check in and out went very smoothly. They offered a continental breakfast which we took advantage of. My sister loved the waffles and I had my oatmeal & frut. The coffee was fresh and the staff didn't mind making more. I would definately recommend this hotel to my friends and would be happy to come back for another visit.
