Nice and convenient place to stay!
Suz Oct 25, 2009
We stayed in the hotel for 5 days and traveled to the Adirondacks and Stowe and Fort Ticonderoga each on different days using ... the hotel as home base. It was a great location and very friendly staff. They offer a nice cozy bar with fireplace in the evenings and a wonderful breakfast in a nice setting with a fireplace in the mornings. The pool looked very nice although we stayed to busy to enjoy it. We would recommend this hotel - it was great!

We travel to Vermont at least three times a year and have stayed in many different Inns,Hotels, etc. and had often stayed at ... the Marriott residence Inn in the last four years. Because the Couetyard by Marriott is just nexr door we decided to try it for a change and were very dissappointed. Upon arrival we found the room to be a bit cramped and it could have been much cleaner. My daughter has Asthma and I spent the first hour dusting the room while my husband discovered that the remote for the TV did not work, nor did the phone-however the trip to the front desk produced a working remote. Also the site that we looked at before booking, indicated that the breakfast was part of the price and the second day we were presented with a bill. We will not be staying at this location again and we are hoping that this is not indicative of the Marriott's in general as we have come to enjoy the other properties we have stayed at in the past but would not recommend this one.

Nice Hotel with some problems
VT Fan Sep 24, 2009
This is a nice hotel, but we did have a few frustrations. Our main complaint is that there is only one elevator for the ... entire hotel. As a result, we found we were constantly waiting for the elevator. A place this size needs a second elevator. Since the stairs are at either end of the halls, if you find the elevator is taking too long, you can't even easily use the stairs as an option since they are so far away. In addition, we had some issues with their wi-fi service. At one point it wasn't working. Luckily we had an ethernet cable packed and that did work. Another minor complaint... what is it with hotel TVs nowadays? You have to scroll through pay-per-view, adult and games to get to the free channels which almost seem to be an afterthought these days. Annoying! Otherwise, very nice place. Excellent breakfast and located pretty close to some malls which made it convenient.

Very nice hotel
mthudak Sep 7, 2009
Because of terrible problems with our flight, we ended up only being here only a few hours. We were unable to get our rental ... car, because we got in too late to pick it up (4:00 AM as opposed to the scheduled 10:45 PM). The hotel shuttle didn't run at that time, so they contacted a taxi for us, complimentary (except gratuity). Our room was very comfortable (much needed after travelling all night), and the complimentary breakfast buffet the next morning was delicious. Service was excellent all around. The receptionist at check in and out were both very friendly and helpful. The waitress at breakfast was also friendly and prompt. Even the maintenance man, who also drove us to the airport in the shuttle the next morning, was very friendly. And not in a phony way -- they all just seemed like very nice people who were concerned with our comfort more than anything else. We were "just passing through" on this stay, spending one night and then leaving for Montreal the next morning, but we did enjoy our stay, and would stay again.

A Fabulous Stay
Mom from MA Aug 17, 2009
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided me with directions to many locations and gave me their ... phone number to call in case I got lost. The breakfast buffet was very good. There was a variety of food choices to please everyone. The food was piping hot. The wait staff was attentive and even provided whipped cream for our hot chocolate. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotel could use additional washers and dryers. There was a back-up when we wanted to use them (only 1 of each machine). The hotel did provide laundry detergent free of charge. Very pleasant sitting area behind the pool complete with a gazebo and lovely garden. I will stay here again.
