Great Experience
The hotel was great, I couldn't believe how nice the room was for the price I was paying. The bed was extremely comfortable, which isn't something I have ever found at a hotel before. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all my questions. I felt very safe and comfortable at Smart Suites. The hotel seemed to be located in a great place because it is more on the outskirts of the area, but close to the main road to Burlington and the highway that takes you to the airport and Ben and Jerry's. If you are looking for a hotel close to nightlife activities you probably do not want to stay here as Downtown Burlington is a good 15 mins away depending on traffic.

Make sure to bring a GPS, the town was hard to navigate without because the town is built around the university and the water and the mountains. Nothing seemed to go where I thought it would and a lot of the streets right in Burlington were one ways which made it hard to figure out where I was going. The GPS I brought was extremely helpful and made the trip much easier.

Not happy
Very unhappy with this hotel. When we checked in we asked why we were put on the first floor. We checked out early. The beds were very uncomfortable, the sheets were scratchy and cheap. At midnight someone came into the room upstairs and we heard every footstep, cough and noise for more than three hours. Very cheap construction. Terrible experience!

Good value for the money....

BURLINGTON, VT
Most convenient trip to VT yet. couch in the room, same price as the dumpish University Inn north of rt. 7. I live on the road 2/3's of the year, and you don't often get housekeeping service, kitchenette with couch, and breakfast for 70-80 bucks. I wish I found it 2 months ago. Nice staff, even let me check out at 130pm. One thing, the "nowirz" I used had a very slow internet connection, but who knows, it might've been trying to log on to one of the adjacent hotels, my friend had fine wireless service there.

You can get beer at the Jolley/Mobil station on rt. 7. Don't get the kung pao chicken at the Zen Garden on rt 7, it's just little bite size chunks of chicken and peanuts for 13 bucks.

Super Suite Burlington VT
They did not have my reservation when I got there, and they did not want to honor the rate I was quoted and had reserved the room for. Hotel smelled of cigarette smoke throughout, it was overcrowded, and it was very noisy.

Ours was a good experience except for the lack of an ice machine and no ice in the refrigerator. Clerk had to send for ice across the street to another hotel. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, location was convenient and, best of all, staying was there was a good value, not a bank account buster.

Go to Pauline's......just a short distance south on Rt 7. It's always a great experience with outstanding food, plentiful portions of booze in their drinks, a good wine list and romantic, charming, tasteful decor.

Arrived at the hotel, and ...
Arrived at the hotel, and check in was fine. Entered the room and it was 60 degrees, understandable to control costs, but when we turned the thermostat to 70, the room did not warm up after 10-15 minutes. Went to check out the pool, and found that it was located in a neighboring hotel about 200 yards away and told there were changing rooms available there, not very appealing during February in Vermont! Fortunately we were able to cancel our stay there. THERE IS NO POOL AT SMART SUITES!

Convenient Suite Style Rooms
The suite style rooms are very convenient, especially for a family on the go with lots of activities. The microwave and refrigerator made it very convenient to keep food and drinks for breakfasts and snacks. The continental breakfast served by the hotel was so good though that we didn't use what we'd brought with us for breakfast! The only suggestion I'd have is to improve the quality of the mattresses. It wasn't uncomfortable but not as thick and firm as I've experienced in similar hotels.
