disapointed with Holiday Inn points
Nickolas Nov 11, 2009
I an disapointed that I did not recieve holiday inn priority club points because I reserved through a 2nd party. I went out ... of my way and could have gone to a less expensive hotel. Next time I will not use Holiday Inn, the clerk at check in was not very happy that I used a 2nd party and refused to talk about the points saying "go see [...] for points"

Pleasant Place for an Overnight Stay
SandyG Sep 22, 2009
Spent the night before having to catch a 6 a.m. flight. Wasn't the greatest bargain - we paid in advance thru Cheap Tickets, ... but a walk-in while we were checking in was quoted the same price for the same kind of room. Would stay there again, providing the price was right.

Pleasant staff

The location was great -- near Burlinton proper and near the airport. Mall and shops across the street. Several chain ... restaurants nearby, but we went into town. Wi-fi and parking were free, which did help make up for some of the cost. Fitness center was adequate, not great. The staff couldn't have been any nicer, and the breakfast menu was great. We went out for other meals, so I can't address those. We would definitely stay there again. Although I felt it was a little pricey, it was less than most of the other locations in the area. To get cheaper rooms, you had to be further away from the city, so by those standards, the price wasn't outlandish. We are most likely going back to the region again next year, and we'll probably stay here again. I would recommend it to friends.

Melda from the Adirondacks Jul 28, 2009
The hotel itself was fine. We stayed there solely because their website said they had a park & fly service. They do not ... offer this service "during the summer months". This hotel failed to note that on their website. Very deceptive!!

i have never been a big hoilday inn fan, but this one has me rethinking that position. the room was small but comfortable,at ... a good price. the staff was very attentive. my wife and i stopped there on the way to montreal, just to check out burlington. the hotel was right off the highway and only minutes from downtown burlington. so the location was great.the town is a fun place with a lot of nice restaurants and interesting shops. there is also a waterfront area on lake champlain with some beautiful views. we will surely visit burlinton again and i would be happy to stay at this hotel again.

Holiday Inn Comforts-Burlington
Stephen Sep 9, 2008
My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at the Holiday Inn in Burlington. Our room was clean and neat when we ... arrived. The bed was comfortable and we slept great! We enjoyed our dinner across the street at Friendly's. It was conveniently located and close to several other places such as Barnes and Noble, etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The price was affordable and the amenities were very good also.

I have not had such a wonderful hotel experience before. Very centrally located - close to all sorts of fun and dining. My ... children loved the pool and we really enjoyed the Sunday Brunch. I would stay again and will probably next year in time for the Fair again. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Staff was couteous and helpful. All in all a great experience.

some at front desk more friendly than others
Jenny Jun 14, 2008
I had a problem with my key card. It must have been weak or overly sensitive to magnatized materials and so it kept getting ... wiped clean and wouldn't open my door. I've never had this happen at any other hotel. One lady at the front desk was sort of accusative, blaming me, but a guy who helped me another time was very nice about it. Other than that I had no problems. It was a nice place although they could use a desk with a decent chair in the room, rather than chairs which are too low to use for working at the table.

Mall and great natural food store about a block away. There is an Applebys at the mall. A store selling Vermont made items is across the street and there is a Starbucks and good texmex place about a block down the road.

The Holiday Inn Burlington was certainly a great value for our money. Our only real complaints had to do with the room ... comfort. The bed was not very comfortable, likewise the chairs in the room let a lot to be desired. However. the overall experience more than made up for a little discomfort at night. I would still go back!

The Holiday Inn in South Burlington works. There are no surprises - it's got most of the comforts you'd want, including free ... WiFi. Depending on the time of year you can get a reasonable rate, though at busy UVM weekends you'd probably find cheaper a little further out of town.
