better than expected

This was one of the last rooms available on a busy holiday weekend and it was a basic room, clean but dated. Good value, great location, could use some renovations.

Just Ok

We stayed at this hotel on 2 different occasions and had 2 completely different experiences. Complimentary breakfast a JOKE! Packaged donuts, really? Wireless Internet barely works on the ground floor But the staff makes up for it. They are very nice and professional. Rooms are ok

Cross this one of the list

When I checked in, The female clerk was less than friendly. Her demeanor made me feel like I was being an imposition to her because I wanted to check in. Must have been the ripped blue jeans she was wearing made her not want to be there that day. She then handed me a key (Yes, a real live old fashioned hotel room key like the kind you got when your parents stayed in the old mobile courts when you were a kid) and told me my room was downstairs. Really? Like in the basement downstairs? I didn't relish the fact that they stuck us in the basement but when I went to my room my wife and I had to pass over a gaggle of college girls spread out in the hallway with their laptops and incessant chatter. The door to their rooms were open and it looked like a college dorm furnished with bunk beds and complete with dirty laundry all over the place. For a moment, I thought we were in a youth Hostel. Our room (especially the bath) was dirty. The furniture was dorm room basic and not in good condition. Later, when I went in search for an ice bucket (as there was none in the room) I went to the front desk where the clerk just shrugged his shoulders in an "oh well" manner and said they had no ice buckets. So I improvised with an ice container and went to bed only to listen to the toilet sporadically run throughout the night. Couldn't wait to get out of there the next day. It's true, you do get what you pay for.
