Rooms were clean for the most part. No hot water in the showers were the biggest negative. Staff was friendly and service was good. Kind of a hike to the mountain about 20 minutes. Same for all the good nightlife. All in all can't complain for the price

Do not stay here.

I would never stay there again. Our room was near the smoking section of the hotel and the whole hallway smelled so bad we had to hold our noses to get into our room. The pool and jacuzzi were old and dirty. The lobby was insanely loud and crowded with unruly kids and teens. [...] In the future, I will ALWAYS try to get a room near to Killington which is why we went there in the first place.

Never again!

We arrived a few hours early and we were forced to wait until 2 PM for check in. The workers were rude to us on the phone when we asked for an earlier check in time. Hot water seemed to be a luxury in this hotel. Considering that it was -4F - 13F outside, you'd naturally want to take a hot shower in the morning and before bedtime. The water was barely warm. The sink in the bathroom was broken and only had cold water. There were so many other $40/ night motels that have better service and amenities. The hot tubs they claim to have were filthy and only 1 out of the 2 they had were in service. The pool area wreaked like mildew. I will never stay at the Holiday Inn Rutland, VT again.
