While watching the fall leaves
We stayed there on our 10 day trip to New England to see the fall leaves. The hotel was very loud at night. When I mentioned it to the front desk he said something like last night was not as loud as some nights. Breakfast was really nice., The sheets had a funny ordor, Kinda of a hot burnt smell. The hotel was ok, good location, good breakfast, and free wi-fi with a special code.

Weekend Ski Trip
Nice comfortable clean room. The staff we talked with during check in/out were very nice and helpful. Nice touch with the board games and free cookies, milk and soda in the lobby. Didn't try them but it looked like lots of others did. Also the free computer internet use in the lobby was helpful. It was just a weekend trip so I hadn't brought my laptop with me and I wanted to check something online. The tv in our room could probably use with some updating but if that's the only thing I could find wrong with the hotel, not bad.

Short drive from hotel
Although the hotel serves a continental breakfast, there is a local restaurant, The Wayside that serves a full breakfast just 1 1/2 miles from the hotel. Good quick start to the day

Very Impressed
Attended an Opera in St. Johnsbury Saturday evening and at the Barre Opera House on Sunday. We were offered refreshments and free USA phoning available 24 hrs a day available in the lobby. Everything was clean and convenient. Our Room was full of little surprise goodies, I felt spoiled. Non smoking throughout the facility was a plus. Does not compare, this trip far outweighed any other experience I have encountered in the last 35 years.

Good Value During Fall Foliage Season
We spent one night at this location while touring New England via car. The location was excellent and the front desk staff was helpful in locating points of interest. Extra amenities, such as free soft drinks, were appreciated.

Mediocre room, high price
We booked a king size room, but when we arrived, the only option was a handicapped-accessible room. Since we were tired and wanted to check in, we took it without asking questions. The room was not only smaller than we expected, the bed was about six inches away from the climate control unit, which made it difficult to get out. It was definitely not worth the price. However, the staff was really accomodating.

Excelent Services
My son and I was visiting Norwich University for their open house and we needed a place for a nights sleep. We traveled 6 hours in a snow storm and when we arrived we were very tired and all we wanted to was sleep and be refreshed for the morning. We arrived at 12:00 AM and the attendant was very friendly and helpfull. The room was very clean and quiet. The morning came quickly but the accomodations for breakfast was #1 service. I have traveled alot for my job and I can professionaly say this hotel is one of the finest. I would definitely stay at the same hotel if I would ever travel to that area again. T

Pleasant and welcoming
The Comfort Inn at Maplewood is very conveniently located, close to both Montpelier and Northfield. The Inn has many welcoming touches -- whimsical autumnal displays of pumpkins and scarecrows, a bowl apples, sometimes a plate of cookies in the reception area. There are also lovely photographs of the area on the walls of the lobby. The rooms are on the large side and have plenty of room to work. A nice buffet breakfast is served -- you can even make your own waffles. Local newspapers and USA Today are provided to guests. The staff is courteous and friendly. My only complaints is about the beds -- much too soft. The management should be giving some thought to upgrading the mattresses and pillows.

Short drive from hotel
It's a very short drive to Montpelier where there are several very nice upscale restaurants. The New England Culinary Institute has a couple of superior restaurants and a very nice bakery/cafe.
