bang for your buck

i was in town for 3 days, and Hillside Inn was perfect. although parking is limited when the facility is buzzing, i managed to get a spot close to my room. the room was the perfect temperature, hot water was plentiful, and, at about 3 miles from K-1 Base, i could leave at 8:40AM and still make the first gondola ride up at 9:00. thanks and keep up the graet work!

bang for the buck

for the skier, this is the best value near Killington. parking can be tough when it's packed, but the longest i ever had to walk was a couploe hundred yards. room was clean, quiet, with good hot water and heat. it doesn't get any better for a die hard skier like myself. keep up the great work, guys!

Great value

A little hard to fine, no signage on building. Only staff was house keeping. Rooms were very nice and clean, and the best value on my trip.

Great spot, great rate in a pinch

Booked this nice, comfy inn while stuck in Killington for the weekend. I got a tremendous rate for the evening and a nice room with a king-sized bed, a mini fridge in a mini kitchen. It was warm, nice and clean. They had a good breakfast buffet and the limited dealing I had with the staff was nice and cordial. I'd definitely look to this spot for a place with a good rate and great access to the ski resort.

Not bad for the price

Parking is a bit skimpy. Two small paved lots and a larger unpaved lot with lights about 75 yards from the main lot. It is a little isolated with a short walk through a somewhat wooded area (also lit). Check in was fast and easy. The room was clean and everything worked. The continental breakfast was sparse. Bagels, muffins, waffles, juice, coffee and cereal. We opted to go to a local place for breakfast. Check out was also fast and easy with no surprises. We would stay here again if in the area. The hotel is down a hill and is not visible from the main road. You have to watch for the sign amid other signs along the way.

Pleasantly surprised

I was very pleased with this hotel and pleasantly surprised to find a mini kitchen within the room (sink, fridge, microwave, cupboards). I got a great deal on the price and this was a perfect place to stay for the week while I was waiting for my apartment to be available .

Great for the price

The only thing that sucks is the parking as others mentioned. There is a big lot don the road in the back but they let everyone park wherever which makes it difficult to get out and to you car safely.

Everything you can hope for in a budget hotel, 5 min away from the slopes

Great place to run a ski weekend from without breaking the bank. The rooms were clean, decent size and very decent. The staff was really nice and easy going. The continental breakfast was very basic but enough to get you started if all you want is hit the fist lift (fresh waffle machine, bagels, cream cheese, PB&J and cereal). No exactly fit for a romantic VT retreat or anything that involves spending long hours in your room, but great launch pad.

Good Value for a stay near the Mountain

Several friends and I stayed for a weekend to ski at Killington. It was a good place to stay if you are just looking to stay near the mountain for a good price. The room was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. They have geothermal heating and we were on the third floor so it was warm and cozy, which was great coming in from the cold. The breakfast was not much, but it was good to eat something before heading out to the mountain. The man at the front desk was very friendly. There were two downsides to the hotel. The Inn was full on a February weekend and they do not have sufficient parking for all the occupants. The snow had piled up and a lot of people were stuck in the snow and parking along a crowded road. Also, the Inn is very energy and waste efficient. While I admire their efforts for energy usage reduction and understand their reasons for cutting costs, they may want to consider turning the hot water heater on earlier in the morning. Don't try to take a shower before 7:30am unless you enjoy a very cold shower. In the evening, there was no problem though. I gave it four stars because it was a good stay overall, just take a shower in the evening.
