Favorite Place to Stay

We always stay at this hotel when we visit Burlington. Perfect location. Great rates. Pool and hot tub for kids. Cookies at night are an extra bonus for them. Staff is always friendly and there to help. Great restaurant right next door. T-Bones.

Just perfect

We found the hotel with no problems. It was right off I-89 yet no traffic was heard from the room at all. The room was very clean and large. The bathroom was amazingly large and complimentary supplies were there for us such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion, mouthwash. A very inclusive breakfast was appreciated: eggs, waffles, sausage, coffe, juice, all sorts of things. We feel this was one of the best hotels we have stayed at the the price was very reasonable.

Good Location

Hotel is standard Hampton. Staff was friendly. We needed a telephone book which to my surprise was not in the room. But the front desk did supply us with one. The breakfast buffet was average, Rooms were clean. I liked the 24/7 coffee available. Our room had no refrig. Maybe be an issue for some. If you want to purchsse some snacks and drinks at nearby Shaw's. The location was great --- only approx. 90 minutes to Canada. Suggest you echange some money at your local bank or before you go to Canada. We exchanged funds at TD Canada near the Basicalla---a must see. However, we had a small problem returning as the TD Bank in Burlington did not want to exchange back as we didn't have an account there. But then after awhile they approved with supervisor's permission. The I-89 interstate has many sights and attractions. We went to Quenchee Village very nice unfortunately we didn't have time for the Gore. Maybe next trip. This was our first trip to VT. I would return as they were still more sights we missed.

Dining tip: Not Applicable

There are many different types of eateries. I couldn't believe the amount of restaurants. I suggest the Skinny Pancake on College St. They sell crepes. Food was very good prices $8.99 and up. It is a local hang out for the college crowd.

Some problems, but overall ok

The first thing I noticed about the hotel was that the inspection card in the elevator not only had a past violation sticker on it, but also had expired seven months ago. The pool, though a bit small and shallow, was still warm, and there was also a nice hot tub. The biggest problem was that our first night there, at 12:30 AM, our TV suddenly shut down and began to smoke. The maintenance man came quickly, but returned over an hour later without a replacement and had to remove the old TV. We were moved to a new room the next day. The breakfast was small and not anything special. We confronted the management about their "guaranteed satisfaction or the stay is free" policy. As I expected, they would not comp our stay, but gave us one free night for a future stay at a Hampton Inn. All in all, a decent hotel, with several annoying features.

A truly unexpected great experance

An experance truly pleasant and unexpected from the time of arrival until leaving. The hotel itself is lovely but its the staff that makes the whole experance so good. We felt the staff's friendlyness was sincere and they were responsive to our needs.

Granddaughters Graduation

Went to Graduation. Our room was noisey and the staff did nothing to rectify the matter. The apparently new it would be noisey due to (I think) wedding downstairs. [...] It was more than 1 night and was very expensive to have to put up with what we had to.
