Super 8 Winchester VA

Don't get me wrong. Booked the hotel for two college age staffers and it was CHEAP. You get what you pay for and I knew what it was going to be. Yes the carpets are worn. Towels are thin and its no luxury. They crashed for an six hour sleep before heading South. But look. $49.00 total: you get what you pay for so no surprises. For a college students, those on a budget it works (hot shower, clean sheets, free wi-fi and a t.v.). For families on a budget - the world needs inexpensive no-frills hotels as long as they are clean). Ample parking. Housekeeping is so-so, I could have booked a better room down the road and paid $75 - but for a few hours sleep....naw. I stay in Winchester all the time and anything more than five years old in that city is in need of refurbishing due to the high volume of visitors in this city. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR - SO if you need handicap, be sure you request before you pay or you will be stuck. Please note that where it asked me if I would recommend to a friend or not: I would not recommend it to most of my friends who can afford better. But if they are on a budget and just need a place to crash, I would recommend it. So I am sorry I can not be more specific with the "No" or "Yes" box.

Comfortable bed, could have smelled better, unaware of pet aloud....not mentioned when I booked rooms I would have not got these rooms cause my Nephews are allergic to dogs.

We stayed for a pool tournament at Blue Fox Billiards right across the street. We basically needed a place just to sleep and shower. The rooms are a bit old and worn, but were very clean and had nice tv, fridge and microwave and the beds were very comfortable! We could have stayed at Quality Inn but this our favorite! Close to everything. We'll definitely stay again.

Even though the staff was very friendly, I would probably never stay here again. I was definitely NOT impressed with the hotel overall. Due to bad weather, I was unable to get to the hotel until the next morning and I was still charged for the night I did not stay and was not given any consideration for the charges. I would have liked at least a discount! I called several times during my drive and a couple of the night staff assured me that my card would not be charged until I arrived in person. I assumed that meant that I wouldn't have to pay for the night I didn't make it. The hotel was not full and the courtesy would have been nice.

Asian resturant next door was excellant.

The room was very comfortable. Staff were very courteous and helpful. They were booked completely that weekend, and my room I was in didn't have a remote. Excellent full power shower. No inhotel dining options, but was very close to mall and several food places. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

The bed and especially pillows were not comfortable anad the linens were worn.
