Courtyard hotel with two restaurants near Colonial Williamsburg
The Williamsburg Hospitality House is across the street from the College of William and Mary. The colonial-inspired hotel attracts families visiting the school. Classic brick architecture blends in with Colonial Williamsburg. The rooms look textbook American, thanks to striped wallpaper, drapes with valances and rich wood furniture. Two intimate restaurants, including a garden bistro, add to the charm.

Highlights
  • Intimate hotel across from the College of William and Mary and two blocks from Colonial Williamsburg
  • Two restaurants
  • Free underground parking
  • Outdoor pool and fitness center
  • Meeting space for up to 400

Rooms
The 295 rooms echo Colonial Williamsburg style with periwinkle-toned floral bedding, striped wallpaper and elegant wood furniture. Windows look out to a brick courtyard landscaped with flowering trees, tables and a shaded garden. Standard amenities include color TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access for a fee.

Dining

There are two on-site restaurants at Williamsburg Hospitality House, 415 Grill and Papillon. Both of the restaurants achieve intimacy in an upscale casual setting. Diners enjoy the club ambiance at 415 Grill. The restaurant serves American classics such as crab cakes with the signature corn tartar sauce. Papillon is a brick-covered beauty illuminated by Parisian-like globe street lamps. The restaurant dishes up a seasonal breakfast buffet and bistro favorites in the garden.

My first visit to the area

Friends and family have visited Williamsburg in the past, however, this was my first visit. I would recommend the Williamsburg Hospitality House to anyone visiting the area. It is convenient to Old Williamsburg (approx. 3 blocks). My wife and I enjoyed the short walk to Market Square. Our room was very comfortable and clean. I really enjoyed the large sitting area as you enter the hotel with many comfortable chairs and couches with a view into their courtyard. In the morning I was able to get a complimentary cup of coffee and relax in comfortable chair in front of the fireplace and read the morning paper (which was provided at my door each morning). Later we could enjoy an excellent breakfast buffet in the restaurant before beginning our daily activities. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I look forward to returning. We will difinitely stay at the Hospitality House again.

Great Place

Beautiful building and very friendly staff. We all rested well in our room and it was very clean. The kids enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the onsite restaurant. I expected the pool area to be a little more open and inviting, instead it seemed like somewhat of an afterthought, but the kids enjoyed it none-the-less. We will stay again next time we are that way.

Great location for Wm and Mary College tour

This was a very convenient hotel for my daughter and I to visit Wm and Mary College. The bellboy changed our room for us when he realized how tall and tired we were (flown in from CA). The hallways were a little musty, but it was a very hot and humid day (100 degrees plus). There were 2 sinks: one inside the bath area, one outside-very nice for 2 women gertting ready in the morning.

Good mix

Rooms were large. Beds were comfortable. Pool was very nice. Stayed there during college freshman orientation (not my children) and the hotel did not feel crowded even thou we were across street from William & Mary. Many places to eat were very close.

Great place to stay

Great location in Williamsburg--across the street from College of William and Mary and just a few blocks from the historic Williamsburg area. The rooms were clean, quiet, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Desk staff was helpful and very knowledgeable. Parking garage on-site and free. This is a wonderful place to stay in Williamsburg. It's a great value for the price!

A real gem in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg

The best value for your money when visiting Colonial Willimsburg or William and Mary College is the Hospitality House and Convention Center. Within walking distance to both areas and well priced, all you need to do is park your vehicle in one of the underground garages for the duration of your stay and explore the beautiful surrounding and colonial settings on foot. Lots of restaurants within a 5 minute walk as well as an on site restaurant with good cuisine if some what overpriced for the area.

Check out the green leaf cafe next door to the hotel for great pub food, a tremendous beer list (at least 250 bottles and drafts) and the energetic vibe of William and Mary undergrads.

great location

Across the street from William & Mary. Short walk to colonial Williamsburg. Only negative was that the common areas (halls, lobby, etc.) were kept very cold. A/C was running hard the entire time (July).
