not so good

room was ok, bed very uncomfortable and they did not change the bed linens were not the cleanest. had several spiders in the room and had to ask for toilet paper when we ran out. for the money we paid for the room we have had better at other hotels for the same price. probably won't ever go there again.

Good vacation

We went to Busch Garden and water country USA, so we just need a place to sleep, Travelodge was the one, we had no issues, quite, no noise, room was ready, crib was provided by them, I am happy for the deal I got.

cheap but don't rule out

First let me say I got this room for less than $30 a night. Spent a lot of money for symposium at Colonial Williamsburg so had to cut back on motel. I knew I wouldn't be spending much time at hotel. The room was picked up and "cleaned" but that included stains in carpet. Didn't smell that great even though it's now a smoke-free room I suspect it used to not be that way. Some light switches and heat switches were in need of repair but I did get them all to work eventually. Forget about the internet access. There's no easy website to use to connect and the people at the front desk have no idea how to help you. Another reviewer had same comment. Now the good things. It is in a nice, safe location really close to Colonial Williamsburg. The bathroom was pretty clean. The room had a microwave and frig so you can save a lot on money bringing in your own food. I did not eat at any restaurants at all on this trip. Oh, one bad thing. The worst breakfast offering I've ever had so if that's important to you, you won't be pleased. We were offered both days: white bread to toast, small, store bought banana muffins, choice of two cold cereals. The coffee's not worth drinking. I believe there was two juices to choose from. The bed was kind of hard but survivable - I don't think I've ever had a comfy hotel bed. I did bring my own linens just in case. My room had two double beds and I was alone. The bed I did not sleep in had a broken leg so was unusable. Even though I've said some negative things about this hotel and I believe it has much room for improvement, remember I said I got the room for about $28/night. I actually would use this hotel again if I am on a tight budget. Again, best feature is safe location, easy to find, and convenient to Colonial Williamsburg.

Great place to stay

We went to Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg Winery, the Pottery. The Pottery was very disapointing as it was very run down. We didn't find out until Monday that Busch Gardens was only open on weekends. We had wonderful weather and went to restaurants with excellent food. We used coupons provided in the guide books. That helped with expenses. We had a great time and every place we went to was within 2 to 5 miles away.

Travelodge Disappointment

Room lights did not work! Not remote for TV. Hair dryer did not work! Shower curtain had mold on the bottom edge! All we did was sleep and shower there! Breakfast offering was poor, so we ate at the local Pancake House!

Good and convenient location

We went to Williamsburge to visit our son. The hotel was located 5 min. from his apartment. It is also closely located to Bush Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. The parking garage is located under the hotel which was convenient. It is an older hotel but is still in good repair. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not a fancy place but quite comfortable. We spent 3 days there. The pool looked inviting but we did not have time to try it out. The cost of the hotel was a very good value considering we were there during summer vaction time.

We also visited the Williamsburg Winery while in town. We took the tour and wine tasting. For the price it was a great way to spend one of our afternoons.

Don't stay here

It was dirty and not comfortable. The beds are hard and the pillows thin. It didn't appear that the bathroom had been cleaned from the last guest. The breakfast was minimal and not very good.

Inexpensive, cheap

We got a great price. It was close to Colonial Williamsburg entrance down a street that was less traveled. That is where the "good stuff" ends. No ice in ice machines (our floor's was broken) in 100 degree weather. Claimed wireless internet access did not work in our room, which was not that far from the office. The sink never was cleaned completely in the three days we stayed. They only gave us one hand towel. "Free breakfast" was essentially gone by 8:45, except for white bread to toast. You get what you pay for. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable. Basically, we got that for our rate.

Travelodge

This was the worst motel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are dirty, the staff is rude, and everything is run down. There was a cockroach in my bathroom and when I told the manager he told me "it's just a waterbug, so what?" I have never been so appauled or disgusted by a motel in my life. I will never stay at another Travelodge ever again. My husband and I had to change rooms three times because there were problems with every aspect of our stay. Not only was the room completely wrong, it was also nasty. In the third room we stayed in, the cleaning crew left the toilet brush inside our toilet! It was like they just left in the middle of doing a terrible job cleaning. The plumbing is rusting out of the wall and the AC unit didn't work well. The bedding had holes in it and smelled terrible. There is not one good thing about this motel that I can think of.

Busch Gardens is close to this motel but it is not worth the risk you put your health in by staying there.
