Travelodge Inn and Suites-Historic Area

The staff was very nice. The room was very clean. Could use some updates, but I would stay here again. This is my second time here.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The first room we were given was so bad they moved us. The new room was slightly better, but still not clean at all. It was so bad we actually considered forgoing the amount we prepaid and going to stay somewhere else. The bed was terrible. I wouldn't stay there again if it were free. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20 a night to stay someplace better.

We met up with friends in Williamsburg.Were told we would have rooms next to each other. We get there to check in and noticed the number room number was scribbled out.The office changed our room.Back to the office I went to get the original room.Mold on the bathroom walls,The airconditioner wasn't blowing out cold air. I took out the filter there was an inch of fuzz. I rinsed it out in the bathtub,From the tub not being clean all the dirt stuck to the soap scum,The mattress was hard,1 thin pillow,A felt blanket.Needless to say we didn't sleep.I will say the breakfast was awesome,the pool was great! Staff was very nice and helpful,But they never did answer why they changed the room number. But,I will never stay there again nor will I recommend to anyone.

Check in was an absolute breeze, which was great as we arrived in the midst of a horrendous heatwave effecting most of the nation. The lobby was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The staff, drained from the heat, remained very kind and patient as they dealt with each customer and tried to get us all settled quickly. (We all seemed to arrive at the same time.) We toured Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. We found this location nicely located as our main goal was to tour Williamsburg. The visitors center is practically around the corner with great family-friendly restaurants within walking distance. More than anything, I'd love to see this hotel take time to really clean and paint the rooms. Tighten or repair air conditioning units - (The front of ours was hanging off.), - but it worked despite the unbelievable July 22-25, 2011 heat wave. I would rate this hotel nice, functional and great if you don't have small children. It's too germy for small children. You would need to come prepared to really clean before you could comfortably let them loose. But for teens and adults, you can definitely stay comfortably here.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Location was close to restaurants, shopping and a short drive to historical areas.

I had a great time at the hotel. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean the bed was cozy. The location was wonderful so much stuff to see and do close by. I can't wait to visit again!

The hotel was well located, clean rooms, good restaurants close by, good staff, poor complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately our room had bedbugs and I suffered 5 bites. The staff was apologetic, moved us to another room and waived all charges.

We have stayed here before, and it was still very neat and tidy. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The only hitch that had to be rectified was a little confusion at check in. l I had booked 2 identical rooms for our friend and ourselves, but they had a mix-up and said that they were not on 1st floor and that they were not the same. They were not sure where the booking problem was but5 made it right while we waited.
