GOOD VALUE - GREAT LOCATION

The Sleep Inn is not on the frontage of the road but is offset behind the Golden Corral The desk people are very helpful and was able to provide us excellent directions to local sites the first night we were there. Also there are number of maps and guides outside the lobby that are worth getting as they help plan your day. Our room was large. The bed was hard and not very comfortable, but the room was clean. Our maid kept shorting us linens each day, one day it was no bathmat, another hand towels, another face clothes. The hot breakfast was so-so with breads, cereals, sausage patties and coffee. Next door is a Cracker Barrel if you want to spend the money as well as the Golden Corral which has a big breakfast bar on the weekends. The hotel is a little old, but our stay was nice. We probably would stay there again.

Smoke and bad attitude

Heater overheated, would not turn off and filled room with smoke as we were going to sleep. When we called the front desk at first they said that was normal. When they finally came to the room other people were in the hall asking about the smoke. They offered us another room, unfortunately that heater was torn apart and there was no phone. They had no other rooms and told us we had to take one of those 2 rooms. After much arguing they finally gave us our money back. We had to find another hotel at midnight on our own. The person at the front desk was rude and uncaring.

I really enjoyed this place. I got a good deal with the price. I wish they had the good price all the time. The beds were comfy and eveything was super clean.

Clean but Small Room in Older Hotel

Our room was clean but small. The hotel itself is older, and the pool area showed the most wear. However, it was quiet, the rooms were clean, and the price was good.

Great price and location!

Hotel was nice, great location to Williamsburg Visitor's Center and a multitude of restaurants. The price was great for a King bed room with a walk-in shower. The continental breakfast was more than expected, which included Belgian waffles and sausage gravy & biscuits among the regular expected breakfast items. We enjoyed the 24 hour coffee also!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

If it is your first visit to Colonial Williamsburg, stop by the Visitors Center the day before you plan to begin sightseeing to get oriented and to pick up a schedule of each days events so you can plan your days, as there is so much going on all day, every day! Also, take the trip to Jamestown Settlement one day!

Exactly what we needed!

We went to Williamsburg to visit Busch Gardens, and stayed for one night. Although the hotel was a short drive away, everything there was exactly what we needed. We showed up a few minutes after check-in began and found our room was ready for us already. The check in was quick and easy, and the staff we encountered was pleasant and courteous. The room itself was clean and set up efficiently. This isn't a place I would stay for a week or so, but provided an excellent one night's stay.
