WONDERFUL UNTIL...........

When I walked ontoproperty very impressed with the location and the property cleaness. We traveled with a granddaughter who was three. I was well satisfied with everything. There were plenty of towels even though i brought some of my own. My suggestion for cooking utensils a cookie sheet was needed and the back porches were nice but could have been better if they were screened in. other than my bed being nasty ood place to stay and I would recommend this property to a friend. The pool was great vey kid friendly and plenty of chaise loungers for everyone and the convience of having towels available. The restrooms at the pool area were very clean.Don't believe all negative views some were misleading like the pool wasn't up and u had to bring your own towels not true for my visit. I only used a half of can of lysol and no bedbugs were present. I was very dissapointed with the be my first rating was a 10 after the bed incident it dropped to a 5 the staff was great especially Cameron she did not make any excuses for the condition of the bed. another good thing was u didn't have to leave your room for any supplies need for them they would bring them to you being able to see the fireworks everynite of our stay was wonderful my granddaughter really enjoyed them she especially enjoyed the pool.having a grill on the property was great it was for all to use on a first come basics.

Good, but know what you're getting

This is great if you need space (we had a 1 bedroom condo) and want a kitchen. It's location for Busch Gardens is great too. The condo was very clean and fresh. The exterior is a nice building but grounds are in poor shape and they are building so its a construction feel. Apparently a new mgmt co took over Jan. 2010. The trains did wake me up both nights, but not my kids. The party upstairs the 2nd night woke all of us up multiple times and without a front desk to complain to, not much can be done unless you call the cops. Front Desk person was very nice but is not there at night. Didn't like that the housekeeping thought it ok to leave the trash from all the units piled up by the main stairs for 1.5 days - gross. Probably why we had some ants. Strange b/c the rest was very clean (and I'm picky.)Overall I would stay again b/c the space is great for a family that needs more than one room with 2 beds. Also had 2 full baths which was great.

Nice room for the price

The room was great. Like your own little timeshare. But resort, it is not. This is a motel style condo. The room itself was beautiful, new and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was pretty quiet. Water pressure in the showers was terrible. You kind of expect to have a blazing hot shower with pressure that throws you into the other side of the shower wall when you stay at a hotel. The worst thing of it all was, there is no restaurants near by (4-5 miles down the road) there is nothing at the hotel itself (room service, restaurant, bar, NOTHING!) I'm not sure how this hotel got a "resort" title but it needs to be changed. If your heading to busch gardens I would recommend this place just due to location, you can see the rides from the front door of the hotel yet it is still quite enough to get some rest when you come back. Take some advice, the other hotels/motels in the area look like rat holes. I was very happy when I walked into this room to find my own little home away from home!

Lovely

The Parkside was a wonderful experience although parts of the resort are not completed. The exercise room remains undone. The room are tastefully done and are spacious. We always get the 2 bedroom suite. The Parkside is pet friendly which is why we stayed there the first time. We have been back twice since. It is near Busch Gardens but on the other side of the railraod tracks. The train runs all night long but it didn't disturb us at all. We did experience a slight problem with the fire alarms as they are extremely sensitive. They went off from the steam in the shower so be sure to use the bathroom fans and leave the door ajar. We had a pleasant stay and will return again.

Great Place to Stay in Williamsburg!

We booked the Parkside because of the price and location (proximity to Busch Gardens Europe) and could not have had a better trip! The property is new, and the pool area is yet to be completed (it didn't matter to us because it was cold in early April). Staff was very friendly and helpful, check-in was a breeze. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom condo on the third floor --- and there are elevators and luggage carts so it made arriving and leaving very easy. The condo was spotless and huge! Beds were ultra comfortable and both bathrooms had large garden tubs/showers. There are tvs and dvd players in both bedrooms and the living room. The only complaint I would make about the living room TV is that it's set above the fireplace (flatscreen) and it's a bit high up on the wall. Highspeed internet access is free and worked well. They do not provide shampoos and conditioners but there was plenty of soap/shower gels and lots of extra pillows, linens and blankets. The kitchen is fully stocked and they even included dishwashing liquid and dishwasher soap. There is no daily maid service --- but we did not find that necessary -- there's also a washer/dryer in the unit --- and we did bring our own detergent. They do come get your trash at your door every day. And the one time we needed assistance, Kenny at the front desk was very courteous and prompt. The property is just 5 minutes from Busch Gardens and we could see the rides from our room! One downside --- if you're not used to trains, the property is just across from some very busy tracks and the trains do run all night. Overall though, we loved the Parkside and would definitely stay there again!

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you are going to Busch Gardens Europe, it's a good idea to get your parking and passes online ahead of time --- that saves a ton of time and money once you get to the park. With internet passes, you bypass all the ticketing agents and go straight to the turnstiles.

Great Overall with frustrating check in process

This is a brand new time share property that rents per night also. The property was clean and everything (from dishes to pots and pans) are provided in the condo. No room service and you can only reach an after hours oncall manager for emergencies only. once we arrived at the property, the front desk girl was very friendly. bring your laptops because wirless is free and available. I felt wonderfully at home. There is a fully furnished kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. You virtually don't need anything to stay here.
