Wasn't a bad stay
Was good for the price the front desk person on the day of check in could have been a bit nicer but the room was comfortable for the price and the location is one of the better locations in williamsburg.

Soccer Tournament stay
The room was a little dirty, but what do I expect for $40 a night. Breakfast was simple cereal, and toast. My son who is 12 years old woke up in the middle of the night telling me something bit him and he was itching the whole night. I believe it was fleas. I am not staying here again. Behind the tv was very dusty. The only reason I stayed there was becuase it was very close to the soccer fields.

Indoor pool cosed in Oct. because of winter!!!????
The main reason we got this hotel room was for the indoor pool & jacuzzi & it was closed with a sign that said "closed for winter." The point of an indoor pool is to be able to swim year round!! not worth $80 bucks!! Also when we arrived there was no one at the front desk for about 5 minutes & finally someone came out who looked like he was high or something and was not proffesional or polite.

EVERYTHING WAS BROKE
The heated indoor pool is only open in the summer. We had two rooms and both hot tubs where not working. waiting 20 mins for someone to show up to check up in. Breakfast was cereal and apple juice and nothing else.

not bad
My wife and I have stayed at the hotel three times and have had no problems. It's located in an area where we could get to key locations around town in a matter of minutes. It's a great hotel for anyone on a budget.

It's cheap but not worth it!!
When we arrived the hallway temp was unbearable, which continues once we entered our room. It was over 90 outside and probably over 100 in the room. We arrived on Friday afternoon, the room did not feel cool until Saturday morning. The sheets seemed to be for a queen size bed instead of king, ever time you moved all 4 corners popped off. What appeared to be a big fluffy chair was located in our room, that was until you sat in it and the springs in the bottom poked up and the board across the back pressed into your spine. The free breakfast was sad! Dollar store pecan rolls, and stale bite size muffins. The pool, all though it was indoors had bugs and other items floating in it. I would spend the money and stay at a better hotel.

Never stay at this hotel!
Never stay at this hotel! My daughter and I, went to Virginia for the memorial day weekend and booked this hotel for two nights. We were so wrong! When we arrived at the hotel on Friday night, first thing that I saw is a black circle in the toilet bowl in the bathroom. This was disgusting, but I felt like giving this hotel a benefit of a doubt and did not complain, thinking that on Saturday when we will be out sight seeing this will all be taking care off. When I asked for a wake up call to be at 7 am in the morning, I never received it. Alarm clock in the room was not working either so I had to rely on my cell pone alarm clock to wake us up. When I complaint about this next morning, I was assured that this will never happen again, but the next morning we never got a wake up call either. But wait, it gets worse! When we came back to our room on Saturday, after a day of sight seeing, we found that the only thing was done in our room is beds were made. None of the trash cans were cleaned and coffee maker that we used in the morning was not cleaned as well and there were no coffee or shampoo restock. I called the front desk to complain and was told that nothing can be done since housekeeping people already left. It took me 10 min of yelling and screaming until hotel staff finally sends somebody to attempt to clean my room. Another huge issue is the continental breakfast that hotel claims to provide for their guests. Breakfast was supposed to run until 9 am, but when we came downstairs to have breakfast, hotel ran out of coffee, milk, orange juice and bread. We had to wait for almost 20 min for somebody to come back and made more coffee, bring more milk. As far as bread, they had ran out of it. The same happened the next morning. If you are traveling to Williamsburg, I would strongly advise you to never stay at this hotel!

Howard Johnson Inn
The front desk staff was rude. The website had said they were 3.1 miles from Busch Gardens when they are really 12 miles away. The website stated they had a business center but their was no way to access any computer (no business center). The breakfeast was a joke, a few mini-muffins, boxes of cereal, and a few drinks. Positive the night check in guy was fantastic and really helpful.
