Bugs in the bed :-(
I would not recommend a stay here. Waking up to bugs crawling on your bed is just unacceptable! Sure I was refunded, but the situation was handled poorly. Not to mention that the āfront desk managerā seems to think that there is pleasure to be derived from making a false accusation. Nah! I just wanted to enjoy my trip.

Review of hotel
I found out in advance that the hotel had several listings for bed bugs. The person checking us in knew nothing. I asked about restaurants and shopping and she said she didn't t know. She did not offer to ask someone else. We left early in the morning for a tour of Colonial Williamburg. We returned at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and our room had not been cleaned. We finally just asked for clean towels and brought out the trash. Not the best experience. I will definitely not stay in a Holiday Inn at Williamsburg.

Nice hotel for a weekend trip.
We stayed for two nights and we had no problems with the checkin, service or checkout. The location was great because we were able to get in and out of the area with no trouble. The downside of our stay was that the room was musty and didn't have the freshly clean appearance to it. Also, while in the bathroom I could hear the entire conversation of people next door. For a quick weekend trip to Williamsburg, it was worth the price.

Football Weekend
We went to the Division IAA playoff game W&M vs Georgia Southern. Good first half - not so good the second. We ate at an Unos and watch football on TV that night. We visited the Prime Outlets on the way home the next day. A very enjoyable weekend, but winning the football game would have been better. I have stayed here before and access is easy, check-in is easy. The hotel is older and has not been updated recently with digital TV, but wireless Internet is free. I would stay again because the price is good and location is convenient.

Prime Outlet Mall this time of year is really busy, but also has really good deals. We usually stop in after a stay in Williamsburg.

old hotel
was arriving late, because of trip from Zurich, Switzerland. [...] Friends stood at Hilton Garden Inn at Newportsnews. For about the same price, they had a really excellent hotel. Because I had forgotten my poweradapter for European chargers, I asked at the desk - no chance. They are not able to help.

Disappointing
We chose this Holiday Inn for it's location--right next to a relative we were visiting. The only plus was the location otherwise it was quite disappointing. The hotel was old, not updated, smelled of smoke, and dingy. The housekeeping staff never cleaned our rooms before 5:00 PM Our key cards failed every day we were there and so I was constantly going to the front desk to get them replaced. Next time we'll stay some place else.

Great location
Great area! Only about 7 min driving from Colonial Williamsburg, about 15-20 from Busch Gardens, Yorktown Victory Center and Jamestown Settlement; and about 1/2 hour-45 min from Berkeley and Shirley plantations! The beds are super comfy, and the staff is nice and helpfull. The only issue for us was that there is no onsite laundry. If you need laundry services, you need to find outside places.

Short drive from hotel
there is one thing to deffinately avoid. It is a place called The Jefferson. It is ont he same street as the hotel, just a little bit down the road. We didnt stay for the foos because the place smelled like damp basement and moth balls and the waitress was sick. she was all red and sniffly and icky. the food may be good, but we did not stay the smell gave us all headaches.
