Days Inn Williamsburg Colonial Historic Area

The "family break"; was great.. The location was great for getting to the shopping outlet and my girls just loved tat fact.

my wife, myself and another couple arrived to stay 10/11/11 through 10/15/11. The lobby was lovely, the desk clerk was polite, and it was all down hill after that. We had to call for hand towels we never got. The re-supply of coffee and cream was not taken care of every morning. Only one bed was re=made every day. It rained in the other couples' room that was staying there. The rooms smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was non-smoking and the rooms were moldy. would not stay there again.

Checked in on 8/12/11 for 2 nights. Coming from outerbanks vacation..decided to take kids to Busch gardens Williamsburg Va. Checked in at this hotel and that's when nightmare started..Was shocked by first room assigned..it was disgusting..smell of mold/mildew in hallway..worst in the room..stains on sheets..walls looked like walls from abandoned building. Went to front desk and asked if we could cancel reservation because we cant possibly stay in that room...they explained that because we prepaid for the rooms..no refunds for cancellation or early departure? Couldn't believe that this is happening...they offered another room..seems a bit better up until we closed the door and the whole room smelled like vomit or you know what..there were no protection on mattress just a flat sheet put on top of it..same with pillows..stains on sheets n towels, carpet...?? used flip flops everytime we step on the floor ! Awoken by fire alarm twice at 3:30 and 4:30 am..all guest evacuated building twice..my children were panicked and scared! all because of faulty fire alarm! I asked again if there was a way to refund us for 2nd night.. we are willing to endure one night but just refund us the 2nd night so we could ck out the next day..again..there is nothing they can do...disgusted and horrified..Went to Local CVS to purchase lysol spray...tried to minimize germs for my family. I have never stayed at any Days inn establishment ...this was the 1st time and it will be our last.

We did it all! Water park, Busch Gardens,Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Really close to food, shopping, gas ect. We had a great time. This economical hotel fit the bill as a cheap place to sleep. Breakfast is all carbs but had limitless coffee. Beds were great,pillows were super puffy. Pool was sparkling and clean. TV in lobby was nice.

Room was clean, staff was very friendly, price was very reasonable. Was also a great location for everything in Williamsburg...nothing more than 10 minutes away! The breakfast wasn't very good....but again given what we paid it was a great stay! Plus there was a nice reasonable breakfast restaurant next door that gave you a 10% discount if you stayed in the hotel!

Had everything we needed for our short stay. Beautifully decorated for the holidays, great place for a family photo! Beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. Very small continental breakfast but there is a discount at the restaurant next door. Would definitely stay again.

I highly recommend this Days Inn! I had some problems with my online reservation, and everyone at the front desk and the manager were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The space is lovely with a nice, comfortable, "homey" feel.

staff was nice, but room was dingy and outdated. breakfast was unorganized and not restocked.

The accommodation was adequate. The biggest shortcoming was lack of floor cleanliness in the room and in the hallways. The beds were great!

This hotel needs alot of maintenance. Water leaks, mold smell in rooms. Rooms dirty. Not handicapp friendly. Some of the electrical outlets did not work. Could not call from room to room using the phones. Dark ugly rooms. Appears no changes to furniture in a long long time. Breakfast bar unattended and not many choices.
