Check your credit card after you leave!
I booked this stay, and prepaid for the hotel. At check-out, they confirmed that I did not owe anything. I asked for a receipt, and was told that as I did not owe anything, there's no receipt to be provided. I thought something was unusual, since most hotels print out receipts for zero-balances. So I checked my credit card, and as expected, the hotel made a charge for the 2-day stay, which I had already pre-paid for through the travel site. So check your credit cards, especially if you already prepaid. The hotel tells you there is zero balance, doesn't give you a receipt to sign, and then charges your credit card on file.

Quiet hotel but needs upgrading
The hotel was centrally located, and close to attractions. However, rooms were small, and the bathroom was extremely tight. The bathroom in the room was poorly lit, and the vent didn't work. It was convenient to have a restaurant within the hotel, but food was below average, overpriced for the quality, and customer service was poor. Indoor pool was extremely small, and was over-crowded with kids. We arrived at 3:40pm for check-in, and was told to come back at 4:00pm, even though it was obvious that most of the rooms were ready for check-in. Overall, OK for a one or two night stay, but not longer.

Hottie
Hot time in the old town tonight.
We stayed at this hotell for four nights, AC never worked in our room the whole time that we were there. We were not the only person that had this issue, several people complained, one couple said they had security called on them when they complained and nothing was done. [...] It wouldn't have been sombad if our stay was not in the middle of the recent heat wave. We also had issues with wild parties, family re unions that were very loud and went on well into the mornings, imhadmto call for security to come quieten it down.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel was a wonderful
The Crowne Plaza Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Ann in the dining room went out of her way to be nice to me and my grandson. She was a delight. The hotel was well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. Our room was large and comfortable with nice linens and towels. The inner bathroom was the only down side - it was the smallest room I have ever seen. I would most certainly stay there again and am planning a trip in the fall and will stay at the Crowne Plaza.

disapointed
would not stay here again
Hotel was not at all what I expected. Everything was very old and outdated. We stayed on the second floor and the ceiling in the hall off the elevator had several large holes in it, appeared to be water damage/dry rot - it was down so low in some areas my 10 year old could reach up and touch it. Wall paper in our room was peeling and the bathroom was uncomfortably tiny. The stench in the entire hallway leading to the indoor pool was so terrible we wouldn't even go there. Smelled like animals, they do allow pets on the 1st floor, possibly there were a few "accidents". Outdoor pool was dirty and no hotel employees were ever out there. The hotel was nowhere near walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. We were so put off by the hotel that we wouldn't eat there. Very disappointed. There were several hotels in the area that were considerably cheaper, should have gone with one of them, because this place was certainly not worth the extra cost. And they even had the gall to charge an extra $25 a night (on top of what I had already paid thru [...])for "incidentals".

Clean and comfortable
We had a good stay. The rooms are very comfy. The staff is friendly. We came to Williamsburg to play and this hotel made rest-time very enjoyable. The pool is not lined, concreat sides and bottoms. My daughter and I had cut-up big toes. Big pool outside warm and deep.(up to 8ft. in some spots) Indoor pool was closed for repair. Daughter was bummed about that. The hotel is a short drive to all the action. I did have a problem with charges for LOCAL calls. Eventhough they don't pay extra for them they make you. $.85 each. They do not list that there will be a fee if you use the phone. If I had known I would have used my cell. Over all good hotel for familys. Also no AC in the hallways.

nice but pricey
The hotel was nice bit a little pricey. The rooms were nice bit messing some of the basics like microwave. The room was kinda small and located right next toa side door entrance which was very loud. The train could be heard every time it passed. The king sizebed was very spacious but really firm.
