unbeatable location for the price

Hotel desk staff were very helpful. It was very useful having wired internet in room. The room also had a very quiet mini fridge which was handy for milk, drinks etc. Our King bed was very comfortable however our sons found the sofa bed a little hard to sleep on. The Hotel was quiet, restful and very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg (5-10mins drive). Pool could have been cleaned a bit more often and some minor repairs done such as the barrier between the inside & outside pool. Hot tub was nice after a long day out. The hotel offered a cooked breakfast buffet or a la carte but it was a little pricey so we ate at McDonalds (1 min drive). On the way to Colonial Williamsburg on route 199 we found a new Harris Teeter grocery store which has an excellent deli counter where we saved a bit of money by buying our lunch there every day. On the whole, good value for the money. We couldn't recommend to a friend because of the pool needing cleaning.

Excellent Grand Illumination Experience

The Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well provisioned. The Hot tub was very welcoming after a cold winter's day and evening at Colonial Williamsburg. The fitness room provided us the ability to continue our routines.

The Breakfast buffet was the best for frugal travelers. It allowed more options at Taverns in the Historic District.

The ad mentioned free breakfast. I was disappointed to learn that this was NOT included.

There is a wine and cheese deli across the main road that has a really good selection of wines and deli sandwiches thatcan be prepared for take-out as well. Very reasonable for lunch.
