NO Hospitality here only a dirty room

We booked our hotel after running a search for pet friendly hotels. After a long grueling trip, we arrived to find out that the hotel (or should I say time share cause that is really what it is) told us that no pets are allowed. The manager (on the phone) insisted that it was our problem and that she would charge us $250 for the pets for 2 nights. She would not even consider a deposit. We were in a bind and took the room. It was a filthy room. The floors were tacky and it looked like nothing had been cleaned in a long time. The amenities are minimal too. It is not close to Williamsburg either. Very disappointing. Do not stay here!

Beautiful Location

The room was VERY nice and clean. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The pool was small, but not crowded. My children loved it. They have a free lunch on Sunday's, so that was nice as well...something different.

Good place to stay with some reservation

We booked this hotel because it had numerous restaurants nearby and was convenient to Williamsburg/Busch Gardens/Water Country(though still a 15-20 minute drive away.) The welcome by desk staff was friendly and informative. It had one bedroom, kitchen and hide-a-bed in the living area for our grandsons. The place itself was very nice, mostly clean (except for two pieces of candy we found under the bed and poor care of the kitchen floor.) It had upscale decor with everything you needed in the kitchen. However, the pool was small for our grandsons to swim in and the fitness center was miniscule. The king size bed in the bedroom was comfortable except for the fact that the sheets and mattress cover didn't fit and kept bunching up on us - very annoying. The bathroom was lovely with a whirpool bath. However the bathroom fan never worked (a real problem in an interior bathroom), and of the four lights in the bathroom only two worked, even after the maintenance staff spent two days trying to fix them. No offer was made to compensate us or change our room, nor did any management staff contact us even after repeated calls to the desk. In addition, there was no cleaning/maid service the whole week. We would have been charged $25 per day for cleaning. We stayed in a similar one bedroom unit in Orlando last year, that our grandsons still rave about. It was the same price, with upscale, super-clean rooms, a great restaurant, daily maid service, and a gigantic pool. This one unfortunately suffered by comparison.

Great Stay

Place was clean and roomy and excellent for the price. An apartment away from home. Staff was friendly. Only two drawbacks - need to take your own kitchen wash cloth, towels, and pot holder; the king size fitted sheets needed deeper pockets. Sheet tended to want to come off with regular tossing and turning. Would definitely stay again.
