Needs TLC
The hotel is okay if you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower, but don't get excited about bringing the family to this hotel while on vacation. Glad I didn't travel with family or friends on this trip. The place is out dated and needs a lot of TLC. My room had a musty smell and had mildew issues in the bathroom. I guess the place is popular with construction workers, because the hallway was littered with their heavily soiled shoes that they left outside their doors in the evenings.

Clarion
The location of this hotel was great. It was incredibly close to all the things to do in Williamsburg. It was 3 miles from Busch Gardens, walking distance from Colonial Williamsburg, and close to outlet shopping. The hotel itself was nothing special. If you are into all the small details and extra amenities then this may not be for you. The toilets did not flush well, the fan was broken in the bathroom. There was also a layer of dust about an inch thick on the air conditioner. However the front desk was very prompt and curteous, and delivered. The pool was nice and clean and there was a restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel itself was quiet and generally clean. Also parking was abundant, and access to and from the hotel was easy. Check in/out were a breeze.

A great new year beginning
We attended the "First Day" celerbation in Williamsburg... So we wanted to get close to the acton and find a place where we could walk from and get to the other activities. The Hotel we chose was a litter further away then we wanted but it was close enough... The parking was not good at all... they were doing some work and construction so that explains that... I enjoyed the hotel, It was clean and safe and I would good back again. We only live in Hampton so we were only 25 miles away from home, but since we attended the New Years "First Day" celebation it was nice to get some sleep, since we are older now lol...

Its on the out skirts of the Colonial Williamsburg just far enough to get away from the crowds and yet close enough to walk to on a pretty day and feeling like some exercise...

lots of places around--Chili's, Cracker Barrel, Pizza, Wendys--whatever you want including seafood. Lots of pancake places for breakfast. Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown are awesome!

Don't stay at the clarion williamsburg
The hotel is not maintained well. The room was damp and smelled of mildew. The air conditioner only spewed out more damp air. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and caused me a back ache that ruined the second day of our trip. The bedding was cheap, coarse, amd uncomfortable. The room was cheaply decorated and old. The cleaning staff was noisy and unprofessional. The only plus was that the hotel was a very short drive to the attractions but with so many other hotels to chose from, don't waste your money on this one. I ended up sleeping with my clothes on because the room was so mildewy and unclean. We left first thing in the morning and showered at home because the shower was old and grimy. Definitely not worth the money.

Great location, but....
Inexpensive room in a great location. However I guess you get what you pay for-- the room was clean, but the decor was tired. The room had a mildewy and strong chemical/cleaning product smell. The bathroom was very small. And the a/c unit so noisy I had difficulty sleeping. Would recommend only for location.

Great stay at a great price
We stayed for three nights and everyday the room was cleaned and freshened up. There was a great bar downstairs attached to the hotel that had Karaoke on Friday and Saturday. The crowd was small and fun. We enjoyed the security maintaining the age group in the room as well as the quick bar staff. The only drawback was when we attempted to purchase Buschgardens tickets...because they had a sign stating we could buy them at the hotel, and much to our surprise we were told we had to get them at the park...not a big deal really. Great time and even better price.

There is a strip of almost every restaurant you can imagine on Richmond Rd. I recommend the Redhot and Blue...best food I've had anywhere...bottom line.

Just fine...
The location is fabulous and the hotel is just fine...nothing special, but clean and comfortable. We had a pool side room, which was nice until the LOUD kids didn't leave the pool when it was supposed to close at 10.

The Williamsburg Inn, one of the premier dinning spots in Virginia is less than a mile from this hotel. Rooms at the Clarion are 1/3 the price of rooms at the Williamsburg Inn. That savings makes dinning at the Inn affordable!
