The rooms were clean and linens were fresh. Continental Breakfast was skimpy and coffee was weak. Room Heating/AC unit was ... old and the blower fan did not work at all. At night the temperature outside was in mid-30's, so room stayed a bit too cool for me.

Nice hotel, but upset about jaccuzzi
Kathy Dec 2, 2009
I specifically chose this hotel because I had stayed there before. I love the location, the rooms are nice, beds, ... comfortable, service great. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was for the pool and jaccuzzi. I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I went to get into the jaccuzzi after a long day walking around the historic area, and found it to be not working. It was disappointing because it was one of the reasons I chose that particular hotel.

Not quite what we expected
Frequent Traveler Mike Nov 30, 2009
My wife and I visit Williamsburg several times per year to visit Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. This trip was to ... visit Busch Gardens ChristmasTown celebration. We booked this hotel because of the price...but the old saying "you get what you pay for" is absolutely true with regards to this hotel. This was not a very good experience. At check-in we were notified that since we booked through a discount site, they changed our room from the King w/ sofabed that we booked to a handicapped queen (one bed in the room). Basically, they overbooked their hotel. Since we were traveling with a child, they changed it back -- but it required us to speak with a manager, etc. Bottom line, they didn't want to honor our reservation. Warning - this hotel allows timeshare people in their lobby to solicit you every time you walk in or out of the front doors. It gets real annoying, real fast! The rooms were not clean. Hairs in the bathroom, stains on the linens. Picture missing from the wall with nail sticking out. Hall lights missing covers. Plumbing was noisy - made sounds all night. This hotel does not have comforters on the beds. There is a sheet and a heavier sheet only. No extra pillows were available. So, we had a total of four flat pillows provided for a king size bed AND sofabed. The internet did not work. Maximum speed you could get for free is 512k. But that didn't even work. Not a single page would load on either computer in the business center. We spend 20+ nights per year in hotels and this was not a good experience. We do not recommend this hotel for any of your travel needs.

The hotel was in a convenient location to everything, plenty of resturants and close to visitor's center where we parked our ... car and walked into Williamsburg and when we were tired of walking there was a bus to take us back to pick up our car. We also golfed one day at the Golden Horseshoe, a great course. It was a very nice getaway.

Awesome beds
Liiiiiiiiiza Likes Nov 4, 2009
Not only is this hotel convenient to Busch Gardens, but the King Size bed is awesome. I have to say it is probably one of ... the most comfortable beds in which I have ever slept. The Sofa pull out was quite comfortable as well- according to my 13 and 14 year olds. The breakfast was ok for just a quick pick me up in the morning. Bagels with cream cheese or peanut butter for the protein gave us a good start. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Called for service once to get a roll away bed and received it within 10 minutes (and it was about midnight). Will be our first hotel of choice each time there is vacancy for all of our trips to Busch Garden (we have season passes).

It thought it would be better
Paulio Nov 3, 2009
We thought the room was a bit small for a King bed & a pull out sofa. The air conditioning did not work properly kept going ... to the auto function, and not reaching the proper temperture, had to switch rooms. The Bathroom faucet was clearly dirty and that's too bad, because it was a nice faucet, oh and the toilet in the first room was loose, and the coffee in the room was terrible.

Best Western Williamsburg VA
Corey Oct 26, 2009
Hotel was really nice but some of the ammenities that they promised were not there. The indoor hot tub was drained out, the ... indoor heated pool was not heated, the cable was very fuzzy, and the "hot breakfast" consisted of french toast and eggs. We would have chosen another place to stay if we had known. The hotel rooms were very nice and it is in a great location.

Best Western Historic is convenient to Busch Gardens and local restaurants. The room was spacious and very clean. ... Housekeeping was courteous and accomodating. We'll definitely stay here again. Our only complaint was the pillows. They were very uncomfortable. The beds were great, but I advise taking your own pillows.

We rented two rooms for our family of four with two teenagers. Rooms clean and spacious. Cracker Barrel, IHOP and other ... fast food Resturants nearby. Stayed at different hotel the night before that had separate tub and shower with two sinks so the one shower tub and one sink in the bathroom was the only think we didn't like. We would stay there again.

Pat Oct 18, 2009
The hotel room was clean and did have a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The towels were cheap. The complimentary ... breakfast was not tended to. The french toast pieces were cold and the area was not cleaned up. Interestingly enough, the employee who apparently was in charge of this room kept checking the tip jar to see if his tips increased. Most of the counter clerks were friendly. There was one who wouldn't give you the time of day. We were never told about warm afternoon cookies nor did we see or smell any.
