Disappointed

There are many hotels in W'burg with much lower rates - but I wanted a touch of "luxury" for my one business travel ovenight. The decor is dated and dark. Staff were certainly pleasant and room was very well equipped (fridge, microwave and coffee maker). Even though b'fast was included, I don't think I got anything extra for the price. TV was not flat screen! B'fast was unpleasant because there was a bus of teens in the dining space - staff couldn't keep up with the demand for food - other guests couldn't get to the food through all the kids!

The Best Western was a very good value and in a great location. The rooms were comfortable and the upgrades they recently made were very evident. There were a few negatives. The breakfast was terrible. First of all the breakfast never changed. They served some kind of egg discs that I'm sure came frozen in a carton and they microwaved them every morning. I couldn't originally tell that they were eggs. They were rubbery and pretty tastless. The french toast sticks and sausage(?) were pretty much the same way. I would still recommend the the motel, but I would just eat breakfast somewhere else.

Great stay at Williamsburg

The stay was excellent. The staff went above and beyond our expctations. They accomadated everything we had questions on. The breakfast was hot eggs, sausage, french toast sticks. They also had yogurt. Our big stickler is the cleanliness of the room, and it was very clean. My one complaint was that my internet service kept coming down, but the hotel was almost sold out at the time we were there so I think it was in overload. We would reccomend it to anyone who is traveling to Williamsburg.

If you are going to colonial Williamsburg, plan more than one day. We only had one day to be there and we could have done more. Also if you want to golf in the area, you can not be in jeans.

OK

Short of the alarm going off, it was OK. We thot it would be within walking distance of downtown Williamsburg, but it was too far away.
