Quality Inn Waynesboro

My room was clean and comfortable. It was not fancy, but I am not into fancy, I am into a good night's sleep. I was staying there overnight on the way to visit my sister. The hotel was right in the middle of downtown Waynesboro, so I had many choices of where to pick up something to eat for supper. I also enjoyed the selection of free breakfast food the next morning. My only complaint was that I could not quickly figure out how to turn the lights on. The switch by the door did nothing. The sun was just setting as I got the room, so I was not getting much light from the outside window. I finally figured all the lights out by flipping various switches on a panel beside the bed, and clicking switches on the lamps themselves. I think that when they finish cleaning the room, they should set everything up so that at least one light turns on automatically when the light switch beside the door is flipped and they should label the three switches on the panel beside the bed.

Rough, really needs a lot of updating and it is close to a railway that I did not hear in the day but three times in the middle of the night I heard a siren.

Good Location, Descent rooms. Ok value for the money. No problems. Could use some renovation but overall ok.

I stayed one night to attend the Va. Fly Fishing Festival held 3 blocks away. There was no internet service that the clerk said they had, voices from neighboring room were annoying along with the loud clicking sound every 30 seconds from the smoke detector, hot water didn't flow until I ran the water for over 10 minutes and there was a water leak from the toilet on the bathroom floor. Otherwise, all went well.

My husband and i and my sister and her husband and his brother all stayed in a two queen room. We put an full size air mattress on the floor and still had plunty of room. We were down going to wintergreen for snowboarding. It was great for the price and what we needed it for. The breakfast could use some work unless all you want is toast and cereal, but hey there is a mcdonalds couple min away. Staff was very nice.

We found the staff courteous and helpful, the room comfortable, and the offerings at breakfast were varied and delicious.

The quality inn in waynesboro va was run down. this place is in desparate need of a overhaul. when conversing prior to our arrival to the inn with the desk staff, I asked them when the last renovations had occurred at the inn. they had told me 2 years ago. I find that hard to believe. we had wall paper peeling from the walls, the rugs were very dark so it was hard to see if they were clean. I expect that they were not. I wore shoes all the time. the pool was refreshing, but the outdoor carpeting on the upper area and stairs leading down to the pool was disgusting. ripped,soiled,etc. cigarette butts were in plain sight in canisters. I do not think i would stay there again.
