Sleep in the Sand Instead
While spending a quick weekend at VA Beach, I'm not overly picky about where I stay. I just ask that there not be large, disgusting stains on the sheets. I can deal with the "continental breakfast" consisting of a banana and a coffee maker, the poor paint job and cracks in the walls/ceiling, the lack of parking, the mold in the bathroom, and the screaming coming from the other rooms. But the stains on the sheets were just too much. It looked like someone had a paintball fight with milk pellets. The room was worth about what you'd expect for $25 a night, but not for the $95 that I paid. Stay anywhere else. Sleep on the beach and shower in the ocean--you'll feel just as clean.

Bubba's dozen boiled crabs. Sit on the patio at sunset and chow down on the crabs. It's beautiful.

It's OK
I absolutely loved the neighborhood because of the beautiful homes and shops - an easy 3 minute walk to Chesapeake Beach (though you don't want to swim there), but the beach alone is gorgeous. 15-min drive to VA Beach. Hotel seemed clean but very old. Tiny fridge, rough towels. Continental breakfast was English muffins, packaged muffins, coffee/juice. The staff didn't look or act professional. I had to walk down and pick up an iron/ironing board and then bring it back when done. No coffee maker in the room. Ice machine is in a creepy hallway outside. Overall it was a decent place, but i would only stay there because of the location.

Short walk from hotel
Check out the gorgeous views of Chesapeake Bay Beach! You can easily walk to it, but don't walk barefoot in the sand. All kinds of sea creatures dead/alive in the sand, and the water. It's perfect to sit and enjoy watching/listening to the waves. But not for swimming.

A little small
My son and I went the beach for a few days. This hotel was clean and seemed to be in a safe location. There didnt seem to be a whole lot of noise which was great for a few days getaway. I might stay here again given the above facts...however, the room was really small and the air conditioner was really noisy. I asked for it to be worked on, but I guess there was just nothing they could do about the noise. The hotel staff was very nice though and as I said before, the hotel was very clean.

Virginia Beach
The location was really great, the staff was very friendly and pleasant. The hotel wasn't very clean, the price for 3 nights was a really great price, I guess you can't have everything. If nothing else was available I would stay there again.

The overall area the hotel was located in was really great area, I went to mall, shopping movies, different restaurant. I had a lovely time, the hotel wasn't the best, but the price was the best at the time all the other hotels were booked. I will say again the staff was the best, I knew it was a two star hotel.I was okay with that, it could've been a little cleaner.I would stay again

Real Pleasant Stay
The Travelodge rooms and look is overall what you expect based on the pictures you see online. Nothing much too look at with no extra frills. But what males this place worthwile are the staff and location. We only stayed there for 3 days and after our next morning the staff knew us by name, and greeted us so. As far as location it is 2 blocks away from the beach and steps from 5 different bars/restaurants. Which unfortunately is also what gives it the parking situation. Many cars end up parking in the hotel's parking lot taking up what little there is for the guests. The rooms are small and nothing great but clean and comfy. All together though a very nice/convenient/restful experience.

Across the street is Sakura. One of the most expansive sushi menus I have seen in a while, all of which we had tasted great.

3-day beach getaway
Traveling with my friend and our teenaged kids, we enjoyed our stay in Virginia Beach. The price of the hotel was nice for just the 3 days that we stayed. The only problems were cosmetic; the carpets were old and the furniture could be updated. I also had to fix the toliet a couple of times, since I am sure they did not have on-site maintenance, especially in the middle of the night. Other than those things, I would stay there again, especially since the beach was only a few blocks away and the pool was nice as well.

Needs updating worn out rugs
The room was smaller, the rug was worn and torn the comode leaked but the staff were extremely pleasant. I am not used to staying in a room that was as dated as this one. We went to the beach and shopped attended an art festival and met with relatives.

Unbeatable location for the price"
Room was clean and staff very friendly, 3 minute walk to beach, 20 min. drive to boardwalk, for the price the hotel was fine. It is a clean place to lay your head. There is a grocercy store a few blocks away, lots of resturants.
