Travelodge Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront

We have always stayed here at the end of the summer season, and it may be because of all the summer traffic there, but there are scuffs and dents and scrapes here and there, though not enough to detract from the oceanfront view, the convenience to great boardwalk shopping, the museums, and other close attractions. The staff has always been warm, friendly and accomodating. For the money this is a nice place to stay. We have already booked this hotel again for next summer! (If this place remodels, it could go for 2-3 times the price!)

We stayed at this hotel last year.We found it was much cleaner than last year. The only problems we had was the air conditioner in the room didn't quite work right and the elevator was very slow and small.Overall, everything was great. Check-in was at 4, we got there a little after 3 and the rooom was not ready, but was ready by 4. Fireworks on Sunday night were great.Everything was great.Staff was very nice and eager to help.

The Travelodge Virginia Beach was very economical and had a great oceanview. We had a simple and fairly small 2-room suite. The suite had nice, new carpeting with upgraded furniture (tv armoires, dresser, headboards, etc.) in dark wood, contemporary. The bedding was also nice and the bed was very comfortable. The sitting room had a window with ocean view and balcony, and the bedroom was located in the back of the sitting room, with the wall facing the main road. The only negative is lack of soundproofing: we could hear the heavy traffic at all times, and each morning we were awakened by a local church's bells ringing. The church bells are beautiful and it's not an issue if you are getting up early, but difficult for sleeping in like we had hoped to do. Other than that, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful.

The outside of the hotel was very sketchy and the elevator was very small and hot. Check in very quick and easy, and the room was very nice. I would not recommend the sofa bed to sleep on because it felt like sitting on a cardboard box. The beds were very comfortable though. There was hair in the shower that was neither mine nor the other person's in the room with me. The bathroom is also very small. For the price that I paid, I had expected something a little nicer, but it worked for the one night I stayed there.

Was not to clean and the only nice thing about it was it had a great oceanfront view will not stay again for the money that we paid.

The view was great, and the suite was very well laid out. Definitely a good bang for your buck. The bathroom, kitchen and living room areas were spotless; shortly after we put our bags down we felt right at home. If location, location, location, is your deal-then this would be the deal-maker; there is nothing more romantic then observing the beach at night, from the balcony.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It has two rooms which was nice since we were in town visiting friends and it was nice to have a separate room to visit in. The view of the ocean was beautiful and there were many dolphins to watch. The door to the balcony was damaged though and at night there was a very cool breeze coming in around the door jam. There was not a restaurant in the hotel so we had to eat at local restaurants each meal. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel, but they were upgrading some of the rooms while we were there. There is a lot of places to visit in the Virginia Beach area and we enjoyed seeing the military ships and jets in the area.

The check-In was the smoothest I've ever experienced,although the upkeep of the hotel leaves alot to be desired, our exit door and our balcony door was always getting stuck , the pool was cleaned twice in a week because people complained about the hair floating and sand on the bottom.So on this Beach vacation our ocean view came with a big price.

The staff was vey friendly. The air conditioner in the bed room was broke and they never came to fix it, but the one in the living room cooled it off most of the time. The other problem I had was with the internet, it did not work. They still have a real old way of internet. I would probally stay again, but I would first look for something else.

Every room in this hotel has an oceanfront view. The hotel is old but not run down. Room has a small refrigerator and microwave. One TV in the living room which is overview the ocean and another TV in the bedroom. I will go back again if they offer the same price.
