The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center

The Westin at Virginia Beach Town Center is awesome. It's surrounded by Pembroke Mall, Regal movie theater, Funny Bone Comedy Club, PF Chang's, Saffron Indian Bistro and other great restaurants and boutiques. Parking is free. The hotel is brand new and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and great at answering questions. The only 2 negatives was that the room (Room 621) we got didn't have a microwave in it and that beverages (ex. water, soda) wasn't free. The room only had a refrigerator. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

It was an excellent room at a great value, The only thing that was strange was the fact that somehow the travel agent put me in an handicap room and the front desk said they couldn't change my room because it was booked through the travel agent.. Because I didn't have the time, I just went with it and it worked out find. However, the inflexibility on behalf of the hotel front desk was baffling.

Great location, parking is a lil crazy, the Deluxe room was AWESOME!!! highly recommend. Skip the room service. the pizzas we ordered at 12 a peice were dough in the middle over cooked on the edge. with sooo many restaurants which deliver, DON'T waist your bucks on the room service... but everything else about this hotel was top shelf!

The location was ideal for visiting family, easy access to the hightway. although it was not near the tourist areas. The rooms were conforable. The bed pillows took getting use too.

--Nice decor in the lobby and friendly staff. However,on the second day a piece of my clothing fell and when I went to retrieve it I found a water bottle and a wrapper behind the dresser that wasn't mine--must have been left by the previous occupant. That was unsettling. However, the bedding and mattress were extremely clean and I had a great view of the city from the 11th floor. The beds are very comfortable and the room I had was spacious. Staff was slow in bringing me silverware one evening (took a half hour) but they were timely regarding everything else.

We loved the Westin! The front desk staff was excellent. The fitness room was great. The pool water was cold, we heard from a family in the elevator. However, housekeeping did not have enough towels for 4 people. We were not given enough shampoo, soap, or lotion for 4 people. One day, a bed was not even made! We tipped housekeeping daily, except for the last day due to our poor service.

I arrived at the hotel to find that they didn't have a room for me, they said they had water damage in some rooms and that they made accomodations for me at the Norfolk sheraton and my room would be ready on Sunday. I went to he Sheraton in Norfolk and didnt like the location and told the Westin staff that this was not going to work. They offered me the first night free with valet parking and gave me a third night at the Westin at a discount. I was satisfied. Nice hotel and friendly staff, good restaurants in the area.

The hotel was awesome! It was in a great location. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. I was shocked that I could get something this nice so last minute. Although we didn't get to experience the other hotel amenities, we were able to spend some time at the hotel bar. The bartender, [...], was super friendly and hilarious. I definitely recommend.

unfriendly service beginning at the Valet area. Poor service at check in. Then when we arrived at room the electronic key did not work. Went back down (from 15th floor) to get new keys. Front desk person just took key and re swiped it. No apology or interaction at all. Just a blank stare.when we book the room[...] is said bathrobes would be int he room, not so. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom fell off it's bracket.We paid a lot of money for this room and we would not go back. I've stayed in Westin Hotels in Chicago, Toronto and Austin TX. This one sucked.
