The Grand Ocean Hotel

This is good for a one night stay during the week, would not pay the weekend prices not worth it! We were on the 8th floor, patio door had black stuff stuck to it like they when you stick Velcro to a window well the sticky stuff was still on door! Spider webs in corners wouldn't have paid more than the $75 they charged but great ocean view!

Clean and in wonderful location... Little pricy but friendly staff. Luggage was difficult, only one cart for entire hotel, and parking is a block away...

My stay was good at the Ocean View Hotel, the only complaint they advertise smoking rooms but they have any smoking rooms.

It was very nice the room had an awesome view and was very well priced.. The bad thing is the bar below the hotel had music that went on almost all night.. But I would stay here again..

Was great place to stay, cheap, right on the beach and had everything you needed for a nice stay. The beds were amazing. I would most likely stay there again.

ON arrival there was construction system hanging out in parking lot. Not enough space to park to check in due to the construction going on. Once checked in, the lobby was ok. The elevators were in process of being remodeled. The first room we were assigned had no glass in outside door. When down to lobby and individual who checked us, realized that he was not suppose to give us that room. Next room was ok but on a floor where they were putting carpet down.... For the price of 100 dollar, could have gotten a better deal someplace else.

The hotel was in total reconstruction when we arrived. The elevators were out of order and half the hotel was shut down. The room smelled and was in not good condition plus the balcony sliding door lock was broke off. However, the hotel did gives us a refund without any problems and I was assured by the Orbitz agent our credit card would not be charged. Would suggest in the future the your agent understand our vacation culture and ask question pertaining to the shape and condition of the hotels.

The hotel was located on the beach, which was a big plus, since this was our first trip to Virginia Beach. However, some of the electrical sockets did not work. The toilet stopped up and maintenance had to come to our room two times to take care of the problem. I had requested a hotel that served continental breakfast. The only thing they had was coffee, which neither I nor my husband drink, so we had to find somewhere to eat, which added greatly to the expense of our trip. My husband and I discussed it in great detail and we've decided that we will not stay here again, if we return to Virginia Beach in the future.

couldn't make any outside calls, couldn't even call the front desk the phone stuck on HOLD

We had a reservation for tow rooms and we had to wait almost 2 hours for the rooms, We got there at 5.00pm. The lady at the frond desk had a very bad attitude and she was so mean.she send us four times upstairs and either the kay wasn't working or the room had another problem,so finally we asked her if we could get our money back so we could go to another hotel,she just started a fight with us and she used the f word in front of the kids.I always book my hotels online,but this was the first time we saw this kind of customer service,they didn,t even changed the bed sheets, it had blood on them,and there were rouches and flys .we needed shampoo and they told us to come to the front desk and get some ,so we went and they gave us only one.
