Probably what we paid for
$100 a night doesn't get you much anymore so our review has to be read in that light. To begin with, there was a large dumpster parked next to the front entrance to receive the old furniture they are replacing. Not a promising first impression. After they replace all the furniture, they might either renew or at least clean the hallway carpets which are really dingy. On the plus side, the room, including the bath, was seedy but clean and well serviced every day. The breakfast room was adequate. The staff was very polite and attentive. You pays your money and you makes your choice. Our reason for not planning a return to VA Beach is not the hotel, but the incessant, deafening roar of navt fighter jets operating out of Oceana all day long only two or three miles from the beach.

Short drive from hotel
For navy vets especially the combination visit to Nauticus in Norfolk which gives you a tour of the USS Wisconsin, the museum and a two hour harbor cruise is well worth the money as is the Virginia Acquarium a few blocks from the boardwalk in VABeach.

Good for a weekend getaway
Me and my husband came to the beach for a short weekend stay,and for the most part it was a good stay. The worst thing was the parking, very tight, tiny spots...beware if you drive something bigger than a compact car. Also did not enjoy the lack of control over the AC, especially since it was near 100 degrees while we there. You could not control the coldness of the AC, just a knob that said high, medium, low, and off. The room was comfy, but the furniture also seemed outdated. We did appreciate and enjoy the continental breakfast which had a good selection of food. We were also pleased by the staff, all were very friendly and helpful. All in all, a good weekend stay. Would probably go back.

Great Hotel
The hotel is in the heart of activity. Restaurants, music, parks,shopping, ocean all easy walking distance.We went parasailing. They have free parking on site. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, large and very comfortable. Just sitting on the balcony watching the boardwalk was nice. The continental breakfast had it all and we had a microwave and frig in the room. We have been to this hotel twice and it is our new favorite.

Mickey's Rudee Inlet Parasailing was worth the money. We are in our 60's and never did it before. It was great!!! We drove but you could take the bus to it.

It was Alright
It is what it is, nothing special but decient for $99 a night Ocean front. The elevators were VERY SLOW. The only room complaint was that the toilet would have fits that it didn't want to stop running. Over all clean and well kept. Would probabally stay there again so long as we didn't see a better deal else where.

LOVE COUPLE
ANNIVERSARY TRIP
THE HOTEL WAS NICE FOR THE PRICE. THE STAFF AT CHECKIN WAS NOT VERY FIENDLY, BUT AS TIME PASS AND DIFFERENT STAFF WORKED THEY WERE A LITTLE BIT MORE FRIENDLIER.

We were able to see our youngest daughter graduate from college The only thing that would have made my stay more enjoyable was if we knew which channel was HBO. This trip was a lot better than the one I had in October. The place we stayed at on this visit was much nicer. It was cleaner.

unsafe amendities
First two days went fine. However, when I tried to use the hotel iron. I unwinded the cord pluged it up and then lifted from it from the cradle and the whole iron plate came apart and fell on top of my left hand. The hotel did not have any first aid to treat the burn on my hand, I had to go to doctor to be treated. It took over 5 hours for me to get any relief from the pain. The staff was rude and unprofessional. They comp me one day but I had to pay 130 for doctor treatment. Would not stay there again and I am still in pain and have a large burn on my hand.

room was cold. When viewing the pictures make sure you know what you are booking. Looks like you will have a room with a spa but most don't. You do not find this out until after you arrive.
