SpringHill Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

We booked a suite for 2 nights, as soon as we walked out of the elevator the hall smelled like urine! After the first night, we noticed our door did not lock, 5 times we told the front desk. After the 3rd time they fixed it, they told us, we were opening it wrong, and had to do it just right not to trip the mechanism. Then they had carpet cleaners doing the floors (which were in DESPERATE need) But they wanted to do it with us in the room. Who wants to walk around on wet carpet?? The front desk could not have cared less about our inconvenience. I expected A LOT more for over 400.00!

We had an amazing time here! All of the children loved the indoor and outdoor pools as well as the parents!! The outdoor pool had a bar with a food menu which was a huge bonus! The hotel is located beachfront so the 'big' kids can go right out to play at the beach while we sat on the balcony to watch them. We defiantly will try to stay here again!

Location was Great. Breakfast was Great. We rented 2 rooms due to size of our family. One of our rooms had issues with carpet having stains and loose carpet bumps. Also bed light did not work and we called to have it serviced but no one ever came. Hotel gave us $50 credit for room issues. Other room was Great. Overall our kids loved the hotel with ocean view an indoor/outdoor pool. Live music at pool was Great as well as pool bar with refreshments. Overall family vote is we would stay again!

A little expensive - but you are paying for the location and views

room was not cleaned well; bottle water in room turned out to be one bottle and it was needed because the water tasted funny; air condition fan discharge on the balcony-Wow?

Good stay for the most part. The only complaint was that there weren't enough hand towels for us.. Location was excellent, rooms were pretty clean (though the lamps needed a little dusting), and the breakfeast buffet is great. I did not have to get in my car at all during my 3 day stay.

carpeting in room was dilapidated. no housekeeping service in room over a 2-day stay. However, the employees we dealt with at the front desk couldn't have been nicer.

One of the better hotels on the beach. Close to Rudy Inlet, Raven, Waterman's. Private parking, great breakfast if you are a serve yourself person and free coffee. Have stayed at many hotels there and plus lived there most of my life, one of the better places.

The service at the desk was exemplary, very helpful with all of our questions and super friendly!.. The room was fantastic, with everything supplied you could need and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. They provided a full hot buffet breakfast each morning, which is kept fully stocked with a great variety of foods to meet anyones needs. Lovely eating area, which is very spacious and looks out on the ocean and includes areas with intimate seating arrangements which are wonderful for a relaxing time to have a conversation, a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, or as several guests were doing--playing a round of cards. There was a very comfortable, home-like quality that gave you a sense of peace and relaxation. Some people gathered in the lobby to watch a football game on the large flat screen TV. It was little details like one employee who was straighting rugs in front of the elevators, and when he saw us coming to them, he pushed the button for us and held the door. The only negative would be the lack of a restaurant, although there are a few in walking distance. If you are looking for chain restaurants (EX. Applebees, Chilis, etc), you will have to drive a good little ways to find them. The hotel is also pretty close to the Convention Center. All in all, we simply loved our stay here and hope to go there again!

great hotel. Service was great, breakfast was a good feature and will definitely stay here everytime we come to VA Beach!
