Beware
Front desk person was very rude. Charged me $22 extra for my 2 children, said if I didn't like it I could Leave but my stay was nonrefundable. I looked back on the web sight and it did not list anything about and extra cost or children or extra people. Had I known I would have never chosen this hotel.

great bang for your buck
Had a great weekend at the beach and this place was a large part of it. Had a balcony overlooking the beach as well as a lounge area with a great view. Room was neat and clean. Staff were great. Also had a very nice cafe for breakfast and lunch on the premises. Will go back

My Yearly School Vacation
There is no words to describe this place except awful. From the front desk staff, to the flow of "gentlemen" who sit in the lobby at all hours visiting with the gentlemen, to the head maintenance man who get mad because someone didn't put their lounge chair back in its proper slot. So he decided to kick it and it went flying and stopped when it hit the fence. And then proceeded to swear for the next 5 minutes. The towels are thread barren and dingy. But the most important issue is actually a safety issue.....there is not access out of this hotel unless you go through the lobby and out. My daughter and I did find a second access but it was padlocked shut. Defnitely would never, ever stay here again.

The little restaurant is not owned by the hotel but it accessible through the hotel. The staff there was wonderful and Mary, the owner, was so helpful.

great budget stay
We have stayed at budget hotels before, some were rat holes and others were pleasant surprises. I would say this one was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean and kept. The grounds were kept neat. They have a parking anex so parking is not a big deal anymore. The staff was great. We arrived early in the morning and they let me park under my reservation. So we enjoyed the beach until check in. They were -very- nice and helpful. Pretty much everything you need is in walking distance, so park the car and walk. A few things we found missing were a hair dryer, and a coffee maker. Wife says pack your own shampoo and conditioner too.(That is why I scored them a two on Amenities) So bring your own and enjoy the savings over the other places.

Kings across the street is tempting to eat, but full price ($29 per person) for half a buffet. Try the places down from the hotel. And be sure to look before you leap.

Although the hotel is quite outdated,
Although the hotel is quite outdated, like the tv that is from the year I was born, it was a good hotel. The breakfast was good, the people were nice and the location was great. You can't always judge a book by it's cover. That's a good phrase for this place. Proves that oldies are still goodies. I"d stay here again.
