Served the purpose

Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, complimentary breakfast was good and staff helpful. We go to the beach to be at the beach, not sitting in a hotel, so the accomodations were good. Was a little disheartened to find that reservation cost more through Orbitz that what hotel was booking for directly.

Convenience

Room was adequate, if a little outdated. Hotel staff was very friendly and even allowed us to remain parked for a few additional hours beyond our stay. All in all, a decent place to stay if you need convenient access to both the convention center and beach.

The Good and The Bad!

The good news about our 2 nights stay at Quality Inn over the July 4th holiday, is that it was very affordable, the rooms were spacious and the microwave and the refrigerator made it very convenient. The hotel was close to the beach. We loved the five-block walk to the beach everyday. The bad news was we had to wait for an hour and a half upon arrival for our rooms to be cleaned. Even then the bathroom was not well cleaned!

Pretty Good

The hotel was good for basic, last minute. The staff was very friendly though, which meant the world. Any questions you had they made sure you were taken care of and your questions were answered. The hotel is a little dingy, in need of updating and cleaning so I hope the headquarters will take the time to improve the physical appeal of the hotel because the location and the employees there deserve a better hotel.

great weekend getaway

we had never been to virginia beach before and thought that this would be a nice getaway for the weekend. I was a little unsure of the hotel, because of the back and forth ratings from the website on it. We were pleased, and very happy with our room. when we got there it was a snap to get the keys, just showed my comfirmation papers. we had a room on the ground floor right up near where we parked our car! we were shocked, we just knew we would be up on the 3-4 floors up since we were late check in too.they also serve you free breakfast at their in house reasturant. the only disappointing thing was that, our neighbor had a motorcycle, and insisted on parking in at their front door. which made for alot of noise when they left at 5:30am. and the coffee pot did'nt work but never told the front desk just went without coffee, untill we got our free breakfast, with coffee. OVER ALL WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS HOTEL AND WOULD COME BACK AGAIN !!!

Dining tip: Not Applicable

be sure to check out some of the buffets before you just pay for it and go in, because some of them are very small and don't offer very much selection for the very large price tag that comes with it. buyer beware !!! rest asured there are some very good one's too (capt. george's) just outside of town very, very good

Gross

We stayed here because it was cheaper but the rooms were horribly dirty, the lights were burnt out and nobody would fix them after we asked multiple times.

A weekend at the beach

The staff were helpful and friendly. I felt the rooms were expensive but it is an expensive area and time. We were late for the 4pm check-in and our rooms were not ready until nearly 6. We had trouble getting the fridge to work but once on it was fine, though old. When we went for breakfast on the first morning we had to queue but gave up as it all looked the same and unattractive so we didn't wait.

It had its ups and downs

The reason my girlfriend and I stayed here is because it was the closest place to the beach that we could find that would let 18 year olds check in as long as you had a credit card. The location was great! Its a short walk to the beach and an even shorter walk to Peabody's (great night club btw). Few problems though. We asked for a non smoking room and they gave us a smoking room. We didn't care too much cause it wasn't terrible. The shower head was absolutely terrible though, it didn't work at all. They had free breakfast which is nice except that there was only one waitress that everyone felt bad for and they ran out supplies for the better meals to eat. Overall I enjoyed VA beach. If you are 18-20 this is an ideal place to stay. If you are older, I'm sure there are better.
