Neptune Park Inn

We were led to believe that there was a pool that we could use but found out when we got there that it is seasonal and not yet open. When I complained that I paid almost $200 a night because we wanted a pool, the supervisor said the pool was seasonal. It was not advertised as seasonal. I know they couldn't open the pool just for us but really, if it was advertised that the pool is closed till memorial day, I would have gone elsewhere,and certainly not paid that much money. I feel I was ripped off. The room was dirty. It had hand prints all over the glass doors and I had to clean the tub myself before it could be used. The carpet stunk and turned my socks black. It looked nice in the web pics, but that pic had to be taken a long time ago before the place got so worn down. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

The hotel was affordable and right across the street from the beach and also along the main strip so we didn't have to use a lot of gas driving up and down the strip we just walked. We also had a balcony with sliding glass door and it was nice to have that open and let fresh air in. The hotel is old and it shows. There have been no upgrades done to the place in what seems like since it was built. There were small holes in walls, paint job was old and cracked, some knobs missing on dresser, carpet was old BUT there were zero bugs and the bathroom was CLEAN so I could live with it. The bed linens also appeared to be clean and stain free. There was also free continental breakfast but we didn't partake in it. We walked down to a local breakfast place that cooked up home cooked goodness. I'm not sure if i'd stay here again but for the price it wasn't a bad deal.

The Hotel is a joke. We rented a room with a clogged toilet, mold on the walks. The doors to the rooms were so squeaky it drove you nuts. Bedsheets had stains in them,carpet in room is a trip hazzard. Elevator had no light cover on lights,it's ceiling tiles were missing, and it's fan doesn't work. Call buttons for most floors don't light up. Lobby is very dirty, lobby glass looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Litter all over parking lot. The rooms don't get cleaned very well, cleaning girl has no clue what she is doing. I would rather sleep on used cat litter than sleep here again.

Me and my husband go every year to Virginia Beach for our Anniversary. After the housekeeper cleaned our room they left our door unlocked for hours.So when I returned back to my room the door was open. The top of the TV I found a room card that had belonged to the previous owner of the hotel.Apparently the hotel I stayed at had changed names.

The hotel was great, nice friendly staff, clean room and the beach was across the street. i plan on staying there next year as well.

We got to the hotel and checked in, we never looked at the room initially. When we got there, key in hand, the room was a disaster area. The people next door to us were drinking and partying in room 313, so we got a pound on the door at midnight telling us to keep it down when my girlfriend and I were just sitting outside. Then again at 1 A.M. we had the police called on us because we were violating their noise policy when literally she was passed out on the bed, and I was listening to music at a room level volume form my laptop. I'm 27 years old, I don't drink and dont party, nothing, it was just an escape from where I'm from. So we got evicted from this hotel at 1am with no where else to go at last minute. Note: She pounded on about 5 other doors on that floor and told them the exact same thing as she said to us. I paid $179 for that piece of garbage room and I literally was in the room for all of 3 hours. Worst hotel experience of my life. Never going through [...]again.. and I've used it about 4 times already.

The hotel was not the best I have ever stayed in but for the price you cant beat it. It was clean but needs some updates. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was right across from the beach so you just had to walk across the street. They have a pool on the roof but it was not open yet. Overall for the price I paid I was happy.

For the price what can you say! The location was GREAT but for the price you can't have it all! Room was not bad..it could have been cleaner but for the price, come on! I was pleased overall. A bar was located right out the front door as well as the beach right across the street. Great restaurants were located walking distance from room...took bus everywhere we went for $1 a day. Would definetly stay again for price plus airfare! $450 roundtrip with 6 days, 5 nights...awesome price!

We had to take a smoking room (NONSMOKERS HERE!) in order to get a decent view of the ocean after I called the hotel [...] when booking that I wanted a top floor nonsmoking room. I paid $5 for extra strength Febreeze at the gas station next door and coated our room with it to cover the stench! The 1st and 2nd floors are pretty much on the parking lot and you can see nothing but cars in the parking lot from your room. The 3rd floor and up has decent views of the ocean and sunrise as long as you are on the right side of the hotel, ask when checking in. Keep in mind your view of the ocean is from across the street but still pretty. We stayed in our room as little as possible! The location is good, we walked everywhere! The pool is very deceiving. The pictures make it look pretty nice but when you get rooftop, the only thing between you and the pool is about a two foot walkway and on the other side of the railing is the ground below! There were only like three or four lounge chairs on another level of the roof...careful don't fall into the pool when you go up there.

I was not pleased with my stay. The hotel was not very clean and they only had one very small, hot elevator. The phone in the room did not work and the sheets and towels had brown spots on them. One lamp did not have a light bulb and some of the sockets in the room did not work. However, although it was not on the boardwalk, I did have a nice view of the ocean.
