Horrible experience. This hotel is dirty, not worth any money. I booked day of through online service just for a place to stay for a few hours. Key didn't work to room, was told I would have a "pool view" all we saw was a brick wall. Loud people all night long. When I went to front desk to have new key made - another person checking in was quoted $20.00 cheaper. When I asked why, was told because I "booked online." this was truly the worst hotel that I have experienced.

The room was o.k. The bathtub was a little nasty. The toilet splashed water out of the bowl when flushed. The front door to the room had a large gap and allowed air, light and noise in. And it only had about a 1/4 inch of the door lock bolt in the hole to lock the door. Not very secure.

Hiking boots
Filthy and Unsafe location
I arrived from Tokyo and was exhausted with 3 bags around midnight. The staff saw me struggling to get in and out of the door with my bags and never budged an inch or offered to help me. The room was on the 2nd floor( all rooms are outside of the main building) which had no elevator but still tired and optomistic about my stay arrived to my room. When I walked into my room it was FILTHY and the furniture was very worn out!! The carpet had not been vaccumed in so long I could pile the crumbs up on the carpet with my foot. There were cigarette burns in the blanket and the last straw before I checked out without spending a single night was bugs on the towel and in the tub. My cab driver was unfamiliar with the hotel because he said that it had changed names several times, and now I see why! Lesson learned... You get what you paid for!!

Great Value and Location
The location is great for Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Staff has always been ver pleasent and the room is just fine. Always have a great stay here.
