Holiday Inn VIRGINIA BEACH - NORFOLK

Good value hotel, indoor pool was average, room needed some touch ups(shower door, wallpaper peel, ceiling paint). Staff was friendly.

One word. Excellent. This hotel was very comfortable, had free Wifi, and had a refrigerator.

I found the staff to have great customer service.The hotel was clean and felt safe. They provide a free buffet on Wednesday and they encourage you to sit down and have a glass of wine. You literally have two or three people coming to check on your service.They have a restaurant in the hotel and the food was good but it was a little on the expensive side. Finally, after being on a plane for six hours the bed and bedding were a slice of heaven.

Everything was perfect with no suprises. Clean. Orbitx worked well, Staff had all my info with payment... It was close to the office that I was working at, I will stay again...

After doing a lot of research to find a hotel that was affordable and not a roach motel I decided on this one. We drove 9 hours from TN to Virginia Beach arriving at 3;40 AM, when I tried to check-in I was told by the person behind the counter that the lady I needed to see for check-in was on break and wouldn't be back for 20 mins and that she was just a security guard who had no idea how to do anything except watch the counter. So 45 mins later (after the front desk clerk's break the room key machine had to be rebooted) I walked into my room. The room was nicely appointed with a flat panel tv, fridge and microwave (hidden under the TV) and a king size bed, although the bed appeared to be as wide as a king size I suspect it was a bit shorter than one but I am not that tall so it didn't matter to me, the bedding felt and smelled like they had just been removed from the dryer. :) VERY NICE extra large (built for 2 I suspect) shower with glass doors. The air conditioner was a little louder than other hotels I have stayed in but not to the point that it interrupted our sleep. I found the water temp in the outside pool to be warmer than that of the inside pool which seemed to have the room heated but not the water? Hot tub was broken and after several calls to the front desk no one ever came to fix it that night but I noticed it was working the next morning.

My sister, parents, and myself got one room at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach-Norfolk so we could spend the weekend at the beach. The hotel was very clean, cool, and quiet. We even used the small fitness area that was small but useful. The bar was a nice place to hang out while we waited for other family members to get ready. We were there with a wedding and a family reunion, but we wouldn't have known in the room. They hung out in the lounge which was nice to see. We spent on evening watching the formal wedding dresses take pictures. We had a very nice stay, I'd recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Stayed on a Thursday and Friday night in August. Hotel was pretty busy with family reunions and special interest meetings. Staff was efficient, helpul, friendly. Parking lot was pretty full most of the time. Indoor pool was small, w/ hot tub, plus outdoor pool in the middle, which all rooms 4 to 6 floors up, look down at. Carpet around some of the unused large conference rooms had that damp smell from humidity. The elevator I used wasn't air conditioned. Nice breakfast buffet, with chef to make you a custom omelette. Overall average experience.

The hotel was very attractive and nice. The room looked better online unfortunately. Nice large pool and great bar. Not the best location for partying but a short distance from va beach. Would not stay again because of location but that's my fault due to poor planning!

Great hotel close to the beach. Salad bar was not worth 9.00 though

The hotel was clean and very nice.I was alittle sad that there was not outdoor pool and the one inside was small.Also my sister works for the Marriott in providence and they would not let me use her discount.So would I stay there again probably not.Not really family hotel.More for couples without children.
