Road Trip Get away

My friend and I took a road trip from south jersey to Virginia beach and stayed at the Boardwalk Villa. I thought it was very spacious and clean. The staff was very informative and friendly. We had a nice view of the street, unfortunately we went in off season some their wasn't much activities to do.and there should be restaurants open in the hotel for guests. But, we had fun at the bars, and enjoyed the location of the area.

Small room

I liked the location it was very close to the beach. When I arrived there the was very nice and polite but my room was very small, I thought it came with a kitchen..... I was wrong, good thing is the room was clean. For the price I paid the room was too small I've been to Super 8's with bigger rooms and a cheaper price.

Vacation alone

We had a great time. The hotel was very nice only wish there was an outside pool. I do not believe that they should continue to call regarding purchasing a condo. You should be approached once & then its done. People are their for a vacation not a sales pitch. We were lucky bc we were up & going every day & they really didnt bother us. Overall we had an awesome time great location on the boardwalk. The restaurant was ok just nice bc it was some place to grab something quick. This vacation was our first with just the two of us going & we had a nice relaxing time which is exactly what we wanted so we were happy.

Absolutely wonderful in everyway.

The staff was great, got settled in and our room was amazing. The Broadway is right in the middle of everything. Dairy Queen is right down stairs, the pier is also right there, the pavilion where they hold most concert events is right down stairs. I booked an amazing ocean front room, with 2 br 2 bath, full kitchen, living and dining areas. I was shocked as to how nice everything was. All members of the staff were courteous and always greeted us with a smile. I will stay again.

Rock N Roll VA Beach

My friend and I made a reservation 3 months prior to our Rock N Roll Half Marathon- After a few months of training for the Marine Corps Marathon we thought it would be a good idea to take the challenge and run the Rock N Roll Half- upon arriving at the hotel- we were impressed by the fact that we did not have to worry about parking since it's labor day weekend and we knew it would be a very busy weekend- When we got to our room- I was extremely disappointed- they assured me that I would get a beach view and that paying 270 dollars I was not informed that they did not offer 2 beds and that all rooms apparently only came with a bed and a sofa - when we walked in to our room- it smelled like smoke and had a very bad smell- I called the front desk and informed me that all the rooms were pretty much the same and that because it is a very busy weekend- available rooms are very limited. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone specially during holidays- I was very disappointed at the size of the room and for the amount of money I spent for one night of stay I would have expected a little cleaner and more space-. location is great- close to all the shops and walking distance to the beach- but other than that- pricey and did not impress me much-.

Very satisfied for price

The rooms very nice and well decorated with a beach theme. Althought only stayed for a night, it would be a great place to spend a couple nights and cook dinner if you wanted. My only complaint was the annoying, repetitive pirate fun-house speakers across the street that kept us from using our balcony that faced West.

so, so

When making the reservation, it said 3PM check-in, when we arrived they told us that check-in is at 4PM, when we returned at 4, the room was still not ready. I thought that a 3PM check-in is already late in the day, but to still not have the rooms ready at a low season time when the hotel is not booked to capacity, I expected better service. We were not the only one dealing with this, there were multiple families waiting some of them past 5:30 PM. We did get a certificate for dinner when we complained but the whole experience had a bad impact on our plans for the day.
