Single mom in VA
Great Last Minute Staycation!
Decided to take a last minute staycation. Found the room on the website and the description was just as it stated. The room was clean and cozy. Great location. The staff was friendly. The only thing I could complain about would be the parking but that could have just been because I checked in after 9pm. But there is ample parking in the garage across the street free of charge. Would definitely stay again.

FIRST WEEKEND TOGETHER
ALL OF OUR DRINKS WERE WARM THUR THE WEEKEND,,,, THE BATHROOM FOR A KING SIZE BED VERY SMALL. NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO MOVE AROUND. TOILET APER ON THE FLOOR...

Great Place

Room with mold, staff very rude
First off, if you dont get a beach front room, the building you stay in is located across the street from the main building and it looks like a cheap crummy motel that you would rent by the hour. We get to our room and I noticed the ceiling is covered with black mold. So I went to the front desk and they gave us another room. I go in the next room and yet again there is mold on the walls and ceiling. So i go back to the front desk and they gave us an upgraded room and I go to check it out and yet again theres mold on the walls and the a/c didnt work. So now i requested to speak to the manager and she came out was was nothing but rude to us and she thought that we were just some young kids looking for a free upgrade which was not at all true. The room they upgraded us to we had to pay extra for. Next time I go on vacation I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. I would definitely stay away from this hotel.

getaway
This was a get-a-way for my husband and I...the weather, ocean front room, balcony were just what we needed. Rooms were clean, but a bit small. Location was right on boardwalk and convenient to restaurants. Loved the price..off season...but was all we could ask for. Will stay again

Great getaway hotel
My stay at the Best Western Plus was a great experience. The room was cleaned daily, the lobby personnel was friendly through all shifts, everything was orderly and staff was knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The balcony was a great plus to watch sunrises. The rooms are a little on the small side but who stays in the room on sunny days on the ocean front? Only complaint is the restraunt "Angelo's" that is 'in' the hotel. They are overpriced for the mediocre food you get and the waitress proceeded to ask why we didn't give a tip!! How unprofessional can you get and proceeded to interrogate me and my wife about it. Do not waste your time or money at this place. Besides that my stay was above what I expected and I would be more than happy to go back year after year. I reccomend it to all. One review I have read noted that the main hallway that feeds rooms was up in the 90's during the summer. This is expected when the whole front of the hotel is all windows and this side also gets a majority of the sun from 2 til dusk. Plus one thing that cannot be controlled by the hotel is the air base nearby that runs jets until about midnight.

Three restraunts I can definitely recommend are "Pocahontaus Pancakes" for breakfast, just 7 blocks north, "Waterman's" for lunch and dinner, which is on 5th street at a distance of 22 blocks, and for delivery to the room with a smile and actually cheap food but good food is from "Pizza Palace".

Great weekend
First of all, thanks for helping me plan our trip, we all had a fantastic time. We went down for the Neptune Festival and we got to share in a wedding that took place at the hotel. Everything was great, with one small exception. I had called down to the desk for a extra pillow twice and never got it but we made do. Hope to stay there again next year and looking forward to it. It had turned cold and we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor pool but the indoor pool was terrfic, nice and warm. Thank again.
