Location and Boutique Feel Combine to Make for a Great Stay
Windowless room could be a bummer or a benefit. Very quiet and dark. Good sleeping. One annoyance, a persistent whine from the in room air conditioner. But the off switch works. Room was small but well appointed. Staff was very helpful. Helped by allowing us to put our bikes in a secure storage room. Free parking is a true plus! Location can't be beat for a close to but not quite on the beach hotel. Roof deck is good but not a substitute for a pool if that's important to you.

Nice location, room cheaper than anywhere else on the beach. Missing a lot - no coffee maker, no mirror over sink, no place to set toiletries in bathroom, no iron, shower curtain not long enough so bathroom floor was puddled. The night we arrived, someone deficated in the hallway near the elevator. Staff was appologetic, but not something I look for in a hotel.

Very HAPPY
I travel to Virginia Beach every year and never want to pay nearly $1,000 for a weekend vacation. I usually stay at reasonably priced hotels with horrible staff, and dirty rooms. I read the reviews a few days prior to checking-in. Even though most were good, I was still scared. I thought wrong!! We arrived a little after 4pm and checked in when smooth; it may have taken 5 minutes or less the staff were very nice and answered any and all questions we had. Cons: small hallway, small bathroom. PRO: Cleanliness, price, location, and rooftop deck. I will be returning back for a long weekend.

Hotel Experience
It is a great hotel in the heart of Virginia Beach, VA. My reservation did not list whether there was a window in the room. I did not have any, but the room was small and cozy. It also had a bathroom and its amnities. As a whole the hotel is small. It has only three floors, and on the 3rd floor there was a great view on the roof. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk receptionist gave me to check-in earlier so I did not have to wait a long time. The parking was free. The hotel has a small parking lot next to the hotel, and there is additional parking on another street. I would recommend this hotel, but please make sure you have a view towards outside.

There is a great entertainment in the evening on the streets. That's the best experience ever! There are singers and people who tell jokes and make tricks.

Great for a quick trip
We stayed in a single queen bed room (two adults and one 4 year old)... it was kind of small, but sufficient. We only stayed two nights, so most of the hotel time was spent sleeping or getting cleaned up and heading back out. If we were staying for a full week, it would have been too small. Looking at the fire escape map, it looked like there were bigger rooms. No biggie for us. We were also looking for something good, but relatively inexpensive. There were plenty of choices on the beach with pools and other stuff, but they cost $100 more a night! I thought it was a great value overall. We arrived early (at 12 noon, check-in is not officially until 4P). They gave us a parking pass for their lot and took my cell number so they could call us when our room was ready. We went out to lunch and got the call by 1:30P. The hotel was in a great spot. It was about 3 blocks from the amusement area and literally across the street from the beach. Our room faced 19th street which had street performers each night. They were done by 11P, so if you want to go to bed earlier, you'd want a room facing Atlantic.

Money-saving tip:
In Hotel
If you've never been to VA beach, pick up a coupon book. While the deals aren't huge, it does give you a sense of what 's around and what to do. We rented a family bike one night. We probably wouldn't have done so without seeing an ad in the book.

great location for walking to the beach
The reception staff was friendly, the roof top deck is a nice place to sit and relax and look at the strip, the cleaning staff didn't come too early. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk. Perfect location aside from being right on the beach.

The Best Place to Be...
This was the best hotel to stay at. The rooms are extrememly clean and the staff is very nice. This place is very secure and has a roof top view you will not forget. We watched the fireworks show from atop the roof. There are washing machines and vending machines in the hotel. It is one block from the beach that you do not miss the waterfront views, especially for the price you pay. I will definitely stay again in the future. THis is a 10 out of 10 place to stay.

A Quick Get Away
My husband and I went away for a quick get away for just a few days. The 19 Atlantic Hotel was great in that it was close to the beach and clean. However, the room was a bit small, there was only a full size bed in the room, and it was very noisy until 2-3am due to its location on Atlantic Boulevard.
