It's a basic inn. It doesn't claim to be anything fancy, and it isn't. Still, the room is clean and comfortable enough. If you're looking for a place to spend the night while en route to somewhere else, this isn't a bad choice.
Overall the hotel provided what I expected considering the cost. Although quite outdated, the room was adequate and clean. The included breakfast was very simple -- breads and cereal. Would consider staying again.
Booked it late on Parents weekend at JMU. Not much of a choice left by then. This hotel would not have been on top of our list but we had a nice experience there.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable. The bathroom could do with a redo but again
for the price, we were quite satisfied.
Breakfast is complimentary even though it was mostly breads and cereals. Great value overall and its location close to downtown Staunton makes it convenient to walk to Main St while being still less than 10 min from 81.
This hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and the American Shakespeare Theater. For the money, you cannot beat it! It is a fraction of the price of others, and, although not fancy, it has everything we needed, and MORE! I would stay
again and would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy Staunton on a budget without sacrificing!

Long walk from hotel
If you want to do the Shakespeare Theater on a budget, buy the cheapest seats and move after intermission. This is not a big secret, but is a great deal! Be sure to arrive early (30 min before showtime) for great entertainment!
We stayed here for a recent family wedding in town and were quite pleased. Everyone we met was friendly and smiling. We enjoyed the clean pool and surrounding gardens full of vegetables. Yes! vegetables. Great idea. We had reservations for 2 rooms
and they were actually adjoining which was a nice surprise considering many times we've reserved in similar situations, our rooms were not even on the same floor. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was simple yet adequate. Price was right. Would definitely stay here again.

Short drive from hotel
Mrs. Rowe's Family Restaurant is a local favorite as you could tell by the crowds. It was recommended by staff at the Frontier Culture Museum (which is also worth a visit if you have the time). Delicious and well priced.
Got a smoking room on the top floor with an INCREDIBLE view of the adorable little town. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable enough, and the front desk guy was very friendly. Great location as well, only a few miles off the road. All in
all no complaints :)
