hotel was OK

I was only here for about 6 hours, to sleep, it was a little noisy being so close to the highway. The staff was nice.

Convenient inexpensive place for one-night stay

Decor is old but clean. Amenities were good, especially free WiFi for which I have had to pay at more expensive hotels. Good variety for continental breakfast. The desk clerk gave us info. about restaurants in the area but failed to give specific directions which resulted in a lot of driving around, then a stop for directions.

really good value

If they offered 3.5 stars that is what I would have selected. The room was clean but dated and the carpet had a few stains. The staff was wonderful. My wife and I are gluten intolerent but if you can eat bread and gravey they have a pretty nice breakfast especially if you like biscuts with sausage. It is is only 1 or 2 exits from all of the eateries. They have a Chili's (gluten free menu) at exit 222. There is also a couple of places for breakfast at that exit. The grounds are spacious and well taken care of. I will stay there again.

Fine for overnight

We had a satisfactory one-night stay at this hotel; the room was fine but was located on the back side of the building, and a group of people were very loud well into the night, and we were a little nervous since we were on the ground floor. Breakfast was fine, nothing fancy, and the staff were very pleasant.

SIMPLE BUT NICE

THE HOTEL WAS VERY CONVENIENT, RIGHT AT THE TOP OF THE EXIT RAMP FROM RT 81 AT EXT217. THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN, THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY, THE POOL WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED, THE AREA WAS SCENIC WITH NICE VIEWS FROM THE HOTEL GROUNDS. THE WERE A FEW CONVENIENCE STORES WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE BUT STORES AND RESTAURANTS WERE ABOUT 5 MILES AWAY, THE BREAKFAST WAS SIMPLE BUT FRESH.

Thumbs Up

This hotel was easy to find, the staff was super friendly and it was a convenient stop over on my NC - PA trip. I stayed in the same place on the way back. The hotel has a few miles on it, but the rooms were clean, the breakfast (free) was good and even though it was full, there was very little noise.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The only close food is a Subway across the street, so if you want something more substantial, you'll have to drive into town. But there is a free continental breakfast, so at least you can eat in the morning.

Convenient I-81 Hotel

I didn't travel with kids, but a lot of the people in this hotel had little ones. The pool was great and there is a cute little playground area. I highly recommend this for anyone. I was by myself and felt safe in the parking area and rooms. And even with all the kids around, I didn't hear a thing all night.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Bring food with you when you check in. There is a Subway across the street, but no place close to sit and eat. However, the hotel has a picnic table, so you can bring your food and sit outside between the pool and playground and eat.
