Microtel Inn and Suites Richmond Airport

The room was small with a queen sized bed. The safe did not work but the hotel staff were willing to put any items requested in the hotel safe. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. It is by no means a luxury hotel but is nice if you are staying by yourself or one other person for just a few days and just need a place to shower and sleep. Considering the price, I can't complain.

We paid $50 for a night and we were impressed. Quite a decent hotel. Room was fresh, with adequate lighting and AC. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast did the job.

O*bitz listed microwave and fridge as standard room features.. Turns out that you only get those for an additional 22.50 per night. As I was locked into a "price guarantee: (i.e. non-refundable), I had to take the gouge. For that price, I could have stayed somewhere better. Chair and table were broken in room. Exercise equipment was old and unusable. Coffee and Kleenex not refreshed on daily basis. Low price obviously appeals to transient families, so don't expect a good night's sleep if you are next to crying children and banging on walls. If you need to stay one night, it might be a value. For a weekly stay, it was unsatisfactory. Avoid.

The room was not bad, much smaller than expected. it was clean and cheap, can't complain for a one night stay for the price.

Decent cheap hotel/motel rental, not the best but not the worst. Much better than other hotels nearby for the price. Motel prices with a hotel feel, rooms are entered through a hallway vs. the outside giving a higher sense of security. Room was clean but a little dingy, bathroom could use a good cleaning or even remodeling - slightly grimy (may want to wear flipflops) but still better than many bathrooms at other local motels. Room price includes WiFi, small exercise roon and a "continental breakfast" which isn't much more than coffee, juice, packaged muffins, fruit & cereal..nothing too special but better than nothing at all! Convenient location across from RIC airport (but ask for a room in the back vs. the front - less plane noise) Overall worth the cheap price for a place to stay for the night!

Shower required "formula" to get it to work. I do not have time for games. Will check out all of room next time or book somewhere else.

Clean, Good Continentla Breakfast, Good value for the money. Will use again.

This was an adequate overnight stay. In late out early. Room was cheap but was rather small. Even though we were next to the airport, noise was not a problem. Good choice of restaurants within a short drive. Staff was courteous. "Freebie" breakfast fairly minimal.

Great room for the price. Gives off that hotel feel because of the inside hall way.

The microtel is just that; a mini hotel. It's a nice quick chill spot for anyone that is on the go who is not concerned about breakfast in the morning. The customer service is good. I can appreciate being inside like a hotel instead of opening the door to an outside hallway like a motel. Although reasonable its not like a hotel but can give u a bit of a hotel feeling. Great room temperature!!!!
