Easy access to historic Richmond and airport

Expect more from Double Tree
Double Tree is part of a big franchise and reputable name (Hilton). I have stayed in other Double Tree or Hilton beofre, but this one was quite a dissapointment. The staff put on a cold facial expression (not that welcoming) and the room was not that clean. Curtain lined with spider web and personal pubes hair in the bath tub. I have to run the cold air all night to dampen some other 'machinery noise' from the building.

Right next to the airport
We had a 6:00 am flight and wanted to be near the airport so we could get a little more sleep. It suited our needs perfectly. The warm cookies when we checked in were a special treat.

I was placed in the corner room near the fitness center and the pool on the first floor, and they couldn't accommodate me anywhere else. When I got to the room and unturned the covers, there was a brown stain on one of the fitted sheets. I slept in the other bed and called in the morning and housekeeping came and changed the sheets and said they would remove that sheet from the circulation and talk with laundry. Positive was the free breakfast buffet and the reasonably priced room service. It also is very close to the Richmond airport and has good shuttle service there 24 hours a day, helpful on business. In general would say it is average to less-than-average and I would probably try another hotel next time.

It was great!
I went to Richmond alone. but I was staying with my boyfriend. It was very comfortable. If I go to Richmond again I have to reservation "Double tree Richmond airport"

Love this Hotel
I have used this hotel 3 times, I fly in from the westcoast and always get in very late and prefer to spend the night rather then get on the road. Its afforable, clean, comfortable, friendly staff and the warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival don't hurt.

Very Convenient
Staff was very friendly. Shuttle service was convenient (even picked up at Car Rental Return). Would stay there again.

Best Foot Forward
Although I live in Richmond, I chose to stay here because I don't live near the airport. I had a very early flight the next day, and the staff was wonderful in accommodating me by letting me leave my car in the hotel lot during my two-week absence. The 24-hour shuttle got me to the terminal in plenty of time to catch my flight, and the wonderful cookie I got at check in came in handy during my flight.
