Days Inn Sandston/Richmond Airport

Average. The front desk personnel were friendly. It is a three story building with no elevator, only outside stairways.

There was a ink pen top & strands of hair on the bed upon my arrival. All the lights were unplugged, i thought they didnt work. The mini refrigerator was DISGUSTING!! OVERALL, IT IS WORTH $20 NT $60. I WILL NT B GOING THERE AGAIN.

room smelled of cigarettes, floor was very dirty - like it had never been swept, old food on floor behind door, no alarm clock, packets of pills (advil) was out dated after purchase from machine, staff hard to understand languate, pool was filled with green water

Worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Please stay away.

Wall paper peeling from the walls, carpets that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, paper thin walls, a toilet that ran every 10 minutes, a sink that echoed anytime another room ran water, and an uncomfortable bed. The whole reason we stayed there was because it was close to the airport and advertised parking and a shuttle service to the airport. They don't mention it, but parking is an additional $25 for their park and fly. When we arrived back and called for the shuttle we were told to take a taxi to the hotel ($10 fare) because the sign in the lobby reads "Free shuttle TO airport". Manager does not believe this includes a return FROM the airport. Avoid this hotel. Spend your money at one of the other mid-level hotels near the airport and save your sanity.

The entire property is in disrepair and disgustingly filthy. The heat/ac did not fuction properly. I usually stay at branded hotels to avoid situations like this. I am amazed that Day's Inn has not pulled the franchise for this property.

An old hotel that hasn't been modernized. Didn't look dirty but had an air of neglect. The airport shuttle (at least at 5am) is the front desk clerk and her SUV, hardly high end but she was perfectly friendly. Very close to the airport. I needed a cheap place to crash for 8 hours before an early flight, and this suited. If that's all you're looking for than this is fine.

The room had an odor. The carpet was mildew. A towel that someone used or cleaned with was on the dresser. The tub was wet as thought someone had just used the room. I killed 2 roaches. Cob webs in the room. I will never use a Days Inn again. The upkeep is poor. The staff was nice. I could not eat anyting in that room. I was nauseated due to the nastiness.

This hotel is so old and in such bad shape I am very surprised it has not been condemned. The porch on the second level felt like it was ready to collapse and the floor in the room felt like it was compromised. The location is convenient to the airport, but it is very noisy. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

The Days Inn at Sandston is very close to Richmond International Airport which is why I made reservations there. There were dead bugs in the bathroom. A wicker basket with the 99 cent tag still on it held the complimentary coffee.
