Good Hotel , great room, but needs some help

The room was exceptional, clean, modern and comfortable EXCEPT for the heating system. It was extremely loud, noisy , and had a vibration which kept me awake for most of the night. The restaurant buffet for breakfast was supurb and was high quality. Shula's restautrant; however, was surprisingly ordinary. It could have been a coffee shop or a low end restaurant. It was more like a sports bar than a fine quality "high end" restaurant. The food was tasty, but overseasoned. Shula's is known for white talbe cloths, high quality steaks and great sides ( I have eaten at other Shula steakhouses so I have a comparison)., and this one just didn't meet any of my expectations at all. They could have done a lot better.

Weekend Away

We just wanted to get away for the weekend - thanks to the Sheraton staff for their kindness and professionalism. The hotel was nice and the indoor pool and hottub are wonderful! We did find that it took some driving to get to any restaurants - that's the only downside. Thanks again!

loved bringing the fur babies here

Really appreciated being allowed to bring our two small dogs and not being charged for it. Our beautiful large room was a 1st floor walkout to a nice wooded area, so could let the dogs right outside. The grounds and everything were very well kept. Beautiful bedding/sheets and clean! Getting on the highway was a snap.

It was okay, buy I expected better from Sheraton

I had one of the newly renovated rooms so I had a great room - clean and very comfortable. My only complaint is minor - the bathroom was super tiny - I felt like I had to squeeze between the sink and the in order to open and close the bathroom door. Outside of the room was a different story - the carpets in the halls were filthy and the elevators were dirty and run down. They had both an indoor and outdoor pool which was nice but the hot tub was at best luke warm. Other guests said that it was hot the night before so maybe it was just my bad luck. Overall, my experience was adequate, but for the money, I expected better from a Sheraton hotel.

Great place to stay

All service members were extremely attentive and courteous. Food was of great proportions and satisfying. The room was very comfortable, spacious and it didn't stink. Decor was modern and sophisticated. The balcony was cozy and refreshing. Sheraton accommodated myself, my 5month old son and my 21yr old cat. They made an exception for my cat since i left the Tidewater area to escape the hurricane. I would definitely recommend staying here but there is only one thing I didn't like. I paid $9.99 per 24hr period for WiFi. I've stayed at 2 and 3 star hotels and they've offered free wifi. Besides that I liked every aspect of my stay and I'm so thankful for the cat exception.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

If you are on a budget I would definitely stop at a grocery store before getting to the hotel. There is a small refrigerator to keep sandwiches, drinks, etc...The room service gets a little pricey.
